Yep. Relying of technology that only exists in his pea brain and one that require fundamentally changing the laws of physics to achieve.

Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires, and crippling drought, and more powerful storms. The path towards sustainable energy sources will be long and sometimes difficult. But America cannot resist this transition; we must lead it. We cannot cede to other nations the technology that will power new jobs and new industries – we must claim its promise. That is how we will maintain our economic vitality and our national treasure – our forests and waterways; our croplands and snowcapped peaks. That is how we will preserve our planet, commanded to our care by God. That’s what will lend meaning to the creed our fathers once declared.

Come to think of it I did take a ritualistic dump this AM about the time of the speech. What goes in as green always exits as brown.

This is all about collectivism and class struggle. It is the common thread running throughout the entire speech. Frightening stuff.

Our journey is not complete until all our children, from the streets of Detroit to the hills of Appalachia to the quiet lanes of Newtown, know that they are cared for, and cherished, and always safe from harm.

The only way to keep everybody safe is to put us all in cages.
Freedom requires choice. Choice requires risk.

We cannot mistake absolutism for principle, or substitute spectacle for politics, or treat name-calling as reasoned debate.

Amazing that he would disown his on modus operandi.

It is now our generation’s task to carry on what those pioneers began. For our journey is not complete until our wives, our mothers, and daughters can earn a living equal to their efforts. Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law – for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well. Our journey is not complete until no citizen is forced to wait for hours to exercise the right to vote. Our journey is not complete until we find a better way to welcome the striving, hopeful immigrants who still see America as a land of opportunity; until bright young students and engineers are enlisted in our workforce rather than expelled from our country.

What a bunch of lying crap and political pandering. This is not the stuff of an inaugural address.

He always in his speeches mentions the fact that our goals are “collective” and downgrades the ability of individuals.
He usually mentions “investing” in our children and teachng them math and science. But our school system led by the unions have been giving children passing grades just for showing up and trying so their feelings don’t get hurt, also the curriculam consists more of LGBT studies, changing history to fit the liberal agenda, teaching that capitalism and business is evil, etc., that I doubt we can find enough teachers that even know mathematics enough to teach it properly. And he flatly stated what he meant by science.

“it does not mean we will all define liberty in exactly the same way, or follow the same precise path to happiness.” ... “who left footprints along this great Mall, to hear a preacher say that we cannot walk alone; to hear a King proclaim that our individual freedom is inextricably bound to the freedom of every soul on Earth.”

Being true to our founding documents does not require us to agree on every contour of life; it does not mean we will all define liberty in exactly the same way, or follow the same precise path to happiness.

Through it all, we have never relinquished our skepticism of central authority, nor have we succumbed to the fiction that all society’s ills can be cured through government alone...

But we have always understood that when times change, so must we; that fidelity to our founding principles requires new responses to new challenges; that preserving our individual freedoms ultimately requires collective action.

The heart of it. Read between the lines. "Now is the time to relinquish our skepticism of central authority. The collective is more important than the individual. I know better than the framers of the Constitution what liberty is. And I will make sure that ALL of you get in line with my opinion."

What a bunch of lying crap and political pandering.

As evidenced by his own administration's 'war on women' and his complete failure to keep his promises to LaRaza during his first term. If it's not completely obvious to voters that this man will say anything while having no earthly intention of following through, then I submit that those voters are of the deceased variety.

Hispanics voted 71% for him in 2012 and he received 55% of the women’s vote. We have reached a tipping point. No Rep will be elected President for a long, long time. The 2016 election is already a foregone conclusion. Hillary will be the first woman President in another “historic” election.

Hillary looks half dead, I don’t think jetting around the world has done her any favors. But they will probably select Warren or that mini-Zero guy from Mass. They no longer have to even pretend to have a US candidate any more, any blue state liberal will do.

Jan. 22, 1973, is also the day that LBJ died.

Hillary will have four years to do her makeover including cosmetic surgery. She will 68 going on 69 full of piss and vinegar with her batteries recharged and an adoring MSM will make her into an American heroine. Obama got 55% of the woman's vote, Hillary will be 60% or more. She will also do better with Hispanics than Obama did.

It won't matter what the state of the economy is. Hillary will raise huge amounts of money. Obama will give her his blessing as repayment of Bill's work on the hustings for him in 2012. Her election is a dead lock cinch.

No doubt Hillary will run in 2016 unless her health prevents it. Obama presumably would like to stay on (his heroes like Castro and Chavez and Mugabe get to be President for Life, so why not him?), but even if he is able to replace one of the conservatives on the Supreme Court with a leftist (heaven forbid), it's hard to see how he can get around the 22nd amendment. So he could run Michelle the way George Wallace had his wife run for governor of Alabama when he was term-limited. He could appoint Durbin to a Cabinet position and then the governor of Illinois could appoint Michelle to the Senate to try to make her credible...but maybe not even that would work.

If Obama succeeds in destroying the Republican Party, the Democrat in 2016 could be faced with just several fragments of the Republican Party rather than one unified party (like the situation in 1836 or that in 1860). In that case several lesser-known Democrats may make a try for the nomination.

Unified Rep Party or not, Hillary will win easily. You just have to look at the electoral map and see how the Dems will waltz into the WH in 2016. Another four more years of demographic change fueled by immigration and minority birthrates will make the Dems the permanent majority party.

Each year that passes more Reps pass away and their ranks are not being filled behind them. OTOH the Dems rank swell each year as another group of voters turn 18 and more green card holders attain citizenship.
