Hypervocal has since issued a statement saying that Fiasco was not kicked off stage for an anti-Obama rant.

"We are staunch supporters of free speech, and free political speech," reads the statement. "This was not about his opinions. Instead, after a bizarrely repetitive, jarring performance that left the crowd vocally dissatisfied, organizers decided to move on to the next act."

HAHAHAHA , What an explanation for yanking him.

Rap IS all about being jarring, and repetitive.

But i guess they had to come up with some lame-a** excuse.

But i am surprised they couldn't blame it on Bush . . . somehow.

Thanks for posting the article.

(edited for truth)

“”We are staunch supporters of free speech, and free political speech, for those who agree with us” reads the statement. “This was not about his opinions, as it wasn’t a debate or speech. Instead, after a bizarrely repetitive, jarring performance that left the crowd vocally dissatisfied and was clearly an anti-Obama ‘rap’, organizers decided to usher the terrorist offstage at the inauguration of the second coming of our Lord and Master.”

Lupe is a Chicago boy who raps about living life, skateboarding, love, and his grandmother. He’s the antithesis to modern rap in many ways, most notably that he uses the old school type of r&b methods, more bluesy than anything else.

He’s a vocal opponent to the garbage in the ghetto and blames Obama for some of the ills in our country. You may not like the kid’s musical artistry, but we can all appreciate his message.

That’s because the C is the highest grade than can be achieved; as in Grade Crap.

"We are staunch supporters of free speech, and free political speech,"

As long as it's dictated speech, or politically correct.

Disagreeing with Oboma is not permitted - it's racist.
Speaking out against a left wing voting block ( i.e., "hate speech") is strictly forbidden. These are protected classes.

It's acceptable to attack ONLY those from right wing voting blocks. In fact, that type of speech is encouraged.

Anti-war rap,

Rapper Lupe Fiasco was thrown offstage and escorted off the premises of a Washington, D.C. concert hall during a pre-inauguration concert Sunday night, after going on an anti-war, anti-Obama rant, according to concertgoers.
Josh Rogin, a reporter with Foreign Policy magazine, tweeted late Sunday, “Lupe Fiasco just got thrown off stage here at the Hamilton Live after he went on an anti-Obama diatribe mid set.”
“So Lupe played one anti-war song for 30 min and said he didn't vote for Obama,” he continued, “and eventually was told to move on to the next song...Lupe refused to move to the next song so a team of security guards came on stage and told him to go.

Sorry, but I’m with the organizers on this one.

The guy was hired to entertain the audience with music, not spout his political views.

Doing so is a violation of his implicit or explicit contract with the organizers.

Just as it is when liberal entertainers subject their audiences to rants on their pet issues.

The problem is not this this guy was ejected, it’s that liberals never are for doing the same thing.

Yes. It's an English grammar rule: "When used to describe garbage that passes for a form of "music", the 'C' is silent.

I thought everyone knew that.

Lupe Fiasco is a "Political Hip-Hop" artist; spouting political beliefs is what he does and I have no doubts they knew that when they hired him.

Absolute setup.

Book an anti-American hater to give a song at an American Inauguration function...sure.

Nice propaganda to throw to the rubes. “See? Obama’s really patriotic guy and one of you. Just watch the pawn ranting.”

Between the government propaganda in the media and on tv, and setups like this ham-handed tactic, it’s like living in USSR.

Disappointed that a con artist took opportunity to use an event celebrating innovation/startups to make a political statement.

Are they talking about the fiasco zero or some other fiasco
