The ceremonial lunch President Obama and his former congressional colleagues are eating Monday tops out at 3,000 calories, according to a website that has tallied up the luxurious menu of lobster, bison and apple pie. HealthyFoodRecipe.net posted the full menu, complete with its calorie count, and said it was “unsatisfactory” to see such an unhealthy spread, given first lady Michelle Obama’s push for healthier eating.
She has come under fire for the high-calorie counts of some of the state dinners she’s hosted at the White House, but other nutritionists have given her a pass, saying indulging on special occasions is perfectly fine. Inaugurations, which come every four years, are about as special as occasions get.
The first course is lobster tails in a New England clam chowder sauce. The second course is bison with a red potato horseradish cake. The dessert is apple pie with sour cream ice cream.
The chef preparing all of this is Shannon Shaffer, who also prepared the 2009 luncheon.
The menu was determined by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugurual Ceremonies, which is chaired by Sen. Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat. Mr. Schumer’s home town of New York already requires all fast-food chains to post calorie counts.
And soon the rest of the country will have to follow suit. Mr. Obama’s health law includes that same requirement.

In this instance, for once I don’t mind their hypocrisy one bit. In fact, I think we should all encourage them to eat lots of food full of saturated fat and refined sugar and salt, drink as much liquor as they can before sharing their venereal diseases, and smoke tobacco like it was going out of style. Give an extra big portion of salt to Mayor Bloomberg, because he really likes his food extra salty.
And to make up for all of that, they should take lots of diet drugs, along with all their usual recreational narcotics, burning off all those extra pounds with potent amphetamines, washed down with expensive whiskey.
Yes, and while doing so they continue to spout sanctimoniously about how important it is for others to eat a healthy diet, etc.
Maybe Moochelle will roll over in her sleep and crush him.

Yeah, it’s OK for them, because they’re superior enough to only do it once in a while. The poor slobs out here in the rest of the country, though, shouldn’t be allowed to do it, whatever it is, because if they were allowed, they’d do it all the time.
Before the citizens consider Michelle to be the final word on healthy eating, maybe she should take a look in the mirrow...from behind.

Calling it “hypocrisy” is giving them the benefit of the doubt for having good intentions, and accepting at face value what they say their goals are.

Time to start pointing out what the real goals are that they won’t admit. Elitist domination. That is their goal, and when you look at their actions in light of this goal, they’re not “hypocrites” at all.

"Either the regime doesn't care about the unemployed due to serving a luxury lunch on Dependence Day, or it doesn't care about healthy Americans due to skirting the requirements on healthy eating which it forces on American schoolchildren. Which is it?"
Frame the message so the liberals have to choose between two bad options. Put them on the defensive. Don't let up.
You are right. It is long past time we stopped playing the 'aha, gotcha' game. They're going for our throats. Frame the argument to demean the liberal at every turn and separate them from decent society.
