Beyoncé did not sing the national anthem live at President Obama’s inauguration.
Millions of viewers around the world were stunned by the singer’s spectacular rendition of the anthem but The Times has learnt that she was lip-syncing to a pre-recorded backing track.
A spokeswoman for the Marine Corp Band Kristen DuBois said it was standard procedure to record a backing track and Beyoncé decided shortly before her performance to rely on the studio version rather

Of course she did, she has no real artistic talent. Though her, ummm, “talents” are pretty darn nice.
Faked singing for a fake president. It fits.
Not a surprise, since Obama has been lip-synching the Presidency for 4 years.
Call it “The Ascendancy of the Milli-Vanillis”.

1. Not exactly exclusive, I’ve seen a lot of sources report on this today. (CNN, TMZ, Politico)
2. This isn’t unusual. Most event performances like this are studio recorded. I can’t remember a superbowl where it wasn’t obvious the half time recording wasn’t a recording. I’ve even been to concerts (U2 most recent) where it seemed to be lip synced. If it sounds too good, you are hearing a recording.
No surprise there as everything yesterday was fake and phony, it’s the calling card of the Marxist Left and the Obamas.
I’m a little surprised. There were a couple of mistakes in it.
A good-looking broad but no Kate Smith.

How apropos for the POTUS who can’t even provide a legitimate hardcopy of his original birth certificate.

I didn’t watch.
Nope, not a surprise at all. However, I think the most disgraceful performances were put up by the sychophantic media babes and guys who were at all the events (on the mall, etc.) waving and cheering when they saw [gasp] Michelle and her fricking bangs, her sweater or new circus tent....when they saw Obama it was even worse.
They might as well have been rock concert groupies throwing their panties up on the stage.
I wouldn’t mind lip-syncing with Beyonce....................
Of course she did.
She has not a drop of musical talent.
Everything fake, even her white girl hair.
But she’s perfect for America.

If you can’t even sing the Star Spangled Banner live you just might be a Fake Phoney Fraud. Kind of appropriate though given the current circumstances.
