Somebody needs to put it bluntly so I'll say it.
Why should Americans bust their a$$ so the Politicians can spend the Lions share of their disposable income to keep themselves in Power and luxury?
It's past time for term limits!

Proposition 30, the controversial measure passed by voters in the November election. Sold as a solution to save the state’s financially strapped education system, the law retroactively hikes the top marginal rate by 29.13% to 13.3% of income, including capital gains, on those in the highest tax brackets.

So Phil Mickelson has to pay --

States have set it up and courts have agreed: your state of residence does not matter, the state where the money is earned is the deciding factor. Earnings at a CA tournament will be taxed by that state — same thing happens to NBA and NFL players who are paid by the game. The key legal word is “locus”. If you are a Rush Limbaugh fan, you may recall his issue with NY on being taxed there for days he broadcasts from the NYC studio. Thus, Rush’s “Southern Command” in south FL.

Lefty can just forego the CA tournaments if he wants to avoid those taxes.

Soon, there will be no quality sporting events, nor sportsmen, in high tax states.

F___ the greed, sloth , and envy cretins that are savaging Phil.

It’s not a coincidence that almost all pro golfers live in Texas and Florida-—where there’s no state income tax. Some of the Golf Channel commentators who are supposed to be selling the game were very critical of Mickelson for thinking out loud about doing something all the other golfers have been doing for years without press criticism or comment. Rosenforte should be fired.
