This fella was stopped and accosted by a criminal in a police uniform. He was threatened with murder, was lied to, was treated like a criminal and was slandered and lied about by the criminal in a uniform. If the wife had shot the police officer after the threat to shoot the man in the back and if I was on the jury, she would be found innocent.

You are right but no one will listen to you. If you get pulled over the first thing you tell the officer is that you have a ccw and that you are armed.

This guy might sue and he’d likely win but it’s the poor taxpaying
citizens who will foot the settlement costs. The badgemonkey will
keep his job thanks to his union and he will suffer NO consequences.

I hope this guy sues the cop in civil court and takes every dime he will ever make in his life

Problem is, not everyone has the means (money and time) to persue a lawsuit. Having said that, Hopefully someone will kill the cop and get him off the street, so he won't assault more good people. Yes, it's come down to that.

Local radio discussed this for several days last fall over a similar incident. Many callers with LEO background.

concensus was....In Indiana, you are under no obligation to disclose that you have a firearm in the vehicle unless asked

On your person might be a stickier point .

Point being, why should a Constitutionally Protected, legal gun owner with papers be subjected to this kind of treatment over an expired tag or broken tail light?

Video apparently has gone somewhat viral. Local Tampa station showed it on their evening newscast.
