New Jersey Democratic Sen. Frank Lautenberg told a reporter that Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who has announced that he plans to run for Lautenberg’s U.S. Senate seat in 2014, needs a “spanking,” because he is “disrespectful.”

Flame away...but I actually like Corey Booker. And he’d be light years better than that fossil, Lautneburg. At least Booker is trying to something in Newark. If we have to have Dems in the Senate, I’d much rather have fresh blood like Booker rather than ossified seat Warner’s like Lautenburg/Reid, etc.
