Hahaha, the senate can propose an “assault weapons” ban, but not a budget as they’re required to do by law.

You can shove your ban deep into where that California sun doesn`t shine, DiFi. We won`t obey.

If they pass such a ban, I will, for the first time in my life, purchase an “assault rifle”, before it goes into effect.

Good luck finding a new one. Not many to be had right now. You should have seen the light about six months ago!

I’m not personally aware of anybody willing to “register” anything.

You can probably find one cheap in a bordertown along the Rio Grande.

Feinstein would be happier in China.
She should go there.

Is a “bullet button” related to “the thing that goes up”??? I thought I was reasonably informed on firearms terminology but those two just escape me. Can somebody please translate?

People killed in the last 25 years by:
pistol grips = 0
mounted bayonets = 0
This is like enforcing speeding laws by banning racing stripes.

National assault weapon ban coming Thursday
Technically, that is not correct. The title should read “DOA assault weapon ban bill will be presented to the senate on Thursday”.

I saw a used Smith and Wesson M&P AR-15 Sport 223 for sale in a local sporting goods store yesterday. Asking price $2,200. Before all the talk about gun bans, you could pick up a new one for $640.

It’s why I bought my SKS during the Clinton years along with 500 rounds. I’ve put about 40 rounds through it since then, mainly to familiarize myself with the sights.

Dear Senator Feinstein, This is the MINIMUM that a soldier carries in combat.
This rifle fires 3 round bursts AND fires on full automatic. They have been illegal in this country since 1934.
You have ALREADY eroded the 2nd amendment to the point that we can't even possess the "arms" intended in the amendment.
Enough is enough.

So, how does this person expect to get it through house. Even with Boehner as Speaker, the ‘Pubbies are not gong to commit this sort of suicide.

I doubt it even gets out of committee in the Senate.

I don’t see the House approving a ban. The Senate can vote all they want but it takes both branches to pass a bill.

Keep making phone calls and writing them.
I do it three times a week.
Hell, half of the FReeper statements on these kinds of threads are all you’d have to tell them.
