Orwell must have had a time machine. He obviously could see what we are experiencing today. Sort of like writing a Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court - in reverse.
Orwell knew what control of language could do.
My hope is the Conservatives may learn it.
I am almost at the point of despair. I believe that most people who choose politics for a career are not math people, but I did think that they respected word usage and messaging. Now I am not seeing much evidence of that.
No need to; as these things run in cycles.
Our country survived the 1870-1900 period. I think it'll survive 4 more years of Barak...
