-(Ammoland.com)- Imagine a grandfather who wants to give a family shotgun to his 12-year-old grandson having to do a background check on his grandson before giving him the shotgun.
Or a friend having to do a background check on his lifetime best buddy before lending him a hunting rifle.
Or, if your mother had a prowler at her home, having to do a background check on your own Mom before you could give her one of your guns for protection.
Thats what universal background checks do. They turn traditional innocent conduct into a criminal offense. They target you, law-abiding gun owners.
Universal background checks are background checks on EVERY transfer, sale, purchase, trade, gift, rental, and loan of a firearm between any and all individuals.
All background checks must be conducted through a federally licensed dealer. (costing hard earned cash) Universal background checks have nothing to do with gun shows they are about you.

Beyond all the scenarios such as Grandpa giving a gun to Grandson, the problem is, registration leads to confiscation. History shows this. We can’t allow for gun registration, because we know what inevitably follows.
They can’t confiscate them if they don’t know you have them.
NRA chief says group accepts background checks
Snippets: "But association president David Keene also says too much emphasis has been placed on banning certain firearms. . . . He said the NRA has been 'generally supportive' of stronger background checks."
If true, the between the sell-outs Mitch McConnell and the NRA, we have a tough fight ahead of us.
I can just see all the good ‘ol boys in the South happily complying with this.
I DO NOT recognize The Bill Of Rights being subject to any sort of licensure.
“He said the NRA has been ‘generally supportive’ of stronger background checks.”
In context, he was talking about more information about mentally ill people being put into the existing system.
But, you have a point here. Once you agree with the principle that you can achieve something useful by putting restrictions on most people before they buy in order to attempt to stop a few people who should not have guns, you have opened the door to national registration and eventual confiscation.
This all driven by smoke and mirrors. The failed paradigm of “background checks” has never reduced crime anywhere. It is just a smoke screen to get people used to having the government control guns.
It is the MSM that is the major culprit here. They are the ones who facilitate the irrational debate.
The MSM must die that the Republic may live. Long live the new media!
