FAMOUS DRILL INSTRUCTOR SAYS GEICO FIRED HIM FOR CRITICIZING OBAMA ADMIN.
Famous drill instructor Lee Ermey — best known for his appearance in the movie “Full Metal Jacket” — says he was fired from his gig as a GEICO insurance personality because he criticized President Obama.
Last December, Ermey — also known as “Gunney” — made headlines by blasting the economy and linking Obama to socialism:
But the plot thickened in January when Ermey came out and apologized, drawing the ire of some of his fans. And now, despite that apology, Ermey says GEICO fired him because of the statements.
Ermey had played a psychiatrist in a GEICO commercial and famously called his “patient” a “jackwagon.” When TMZ recently asked him about it, he said “GEICO fired me because I had– I wasn’t too kind about speaking with the– about the administration, so– the present administration — so they fired me.”
“So they fired you because of political reasons?” asked TMZ.
“Yeah,” he answered. “If you’re a conservative in this town, you better watch out.”

I find it interesting that Reed's last sponsor was Progressive Insurance. I find it interesting that the so-called postponing occurred the same day that that bitch from CA is introducing an Assualt Weapon ban. I find it interesting the Reed could have listened to their customers and allowed modern rifles and accessories at the show.
There is no doubt that Reed wants an AWB. They went as far as telling outfitters at the show that they could not show pictures of hunts that included tactical rifles in the photos. And if anyone is wondering there are plenty of people that hunt using an AR platform ... And it can be done just as sporting as using a bold action .223.
Reed isn’t doing the SHOT show in Vegas.

We have just learned that Reed Exhibitions has decided to postpone the 2013 Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show.
In the days following Reed Exhibitions’ announcement that modern sporting rifles would be prohibited from the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, the leadership of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has been in intense, frank discussions with Reed Exhibitions management in an effort to reverse this unacceptable decision. These discussions reached an impasse.
NSSF is in no way affiliated with, nor does it participate in or exhibit at this show in any way. Reed Exhibitions does, however, manage the NSSF-owned SHOT Show (though Reed manages the SHOT Show, all SHOT Show decisions, policies and actions are made at NSSF’s direction).
Because of Reed’s recent actions, NSSF is considering all options regarding the management of future SHOT Shows.

Let your Congressional representatives know about this and that it is an indicator of how strongly we value our 2ND Amendment rights.
Here is what I sent to my reps:
The Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, originally scheduled to start February 2 in Harrisburg, has been ‘postponed’.The reason: over 400 exhibitors pulled out—including Cabelas and a host of big name firearms manufacturers.
These exhibitors pulled out in protest of the show’s decision to prohibit the display of “assault weapons”. This wrong-headed decision of the show’s management, and the ensuing backlash from exhibitors and attendees alike who respect the 2ND Amendment should serve as an indicator to you of how strongly Pennsylvanians feel about ANY attempt by Obama or Congress to erode our 2ND Amendment Rights—which incidently—don’t come from government, they come from our Creator. Remember this when Senator Feinstein trots out her proposals to disarm Americans.
You should also know that here in Pennsylvnia, our state-level legislators are taking steps to enact legislation that would protect Pennsylvanians against ANY further regulation of firearms that comes out of D.C.
