Mark Zuckerberg to host Chris Christie fundraiser

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has friended New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan will host a fundraiser next month in California for the Republican’s reelection campaign, a Christie official and Facebook confirmed.

BuzzFeed first reported the fundraiser, noting that Christie met Zuckerberg three years ago when the Facebook founder gave $100 million to Newark public schools.

The two appeared on Oprah with Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who was expected to challenge Christie this year until deciding to campaign for the U.S. Senate in 2014. At the time, Zuckerberg was facing negative press associated with the then-upcoming movie “The Social Network.”

"Mark and Priscilla have worked closely with Gov. Christie on education reform in the Newark school system,” Facebook spokeswoman Sarah Feinberg said in via email. “They admire his leadership on education reform and other issues and look forward to continuing their important work together on behalf of Newark's school children. Mark and Priscilla are happy to host him at their home to support his reelection."

“Mark and Priscilla have worked closely with Gov. Christie on education reform in the Newark school system,”

...why? What does M & P get out of it? Other than a tax write off. Throwing money into Newark is throwing money into a raging fire.

I think this proves that Christie’s “Republican” pedigree is complete garbage.

I think he’s a Democrat plant to screw up and further dilute the GOP’s conservative base.

You mean like a Manchurian candidate who has been programmed by our liberal enemies and will be activated once he has achieved higher office?

Another reason I never signed onto that network. Never trust commies, period. When the stock started to crack last year, I cheered every day it dropped.

Well kiss 2016 goodbye. If this fat-ass, Lou Costello-look-a-like f’ing RINO runs it’s curtains for the GOP.

I agree with everything you posted.

There have been an ongoing lawfare against the program by the local ACLU lawyers/parasites,

http://m.pressofatlanticcity.com/news/breaking/cory-booker-ordered-to-release-emails-about-million-grant-to/article_104fd330-4afa-11e2-9624-001a4bcf887a.html?mode=jqm

On top of that, there seems that Booker is impotent in doing anything at all about the corruption in the Newark school system and the money is getting skimmed already.

Zuckerberg did this for a tax writeoff, he could have done it with many other legal vehicles that would have proven effective, instead he just got the money out the door for the IPO tax year.

McCain was a “moderate” big government republican with no charisma, and he lost to the most liberal, evil, anti-American bigot ever to make a splash in American politics. Romney was a second “moderate” big government republican with no charisma, and he lost to the same liberal, evil, anti-American bigot even after voters had overwhelming evidence that the drug-addled liar was somewhere in the socialist realm between national socialist and soviet socialist. Why would anyone except a plant from the Democrat party support another “moderate” big government republican?
