In response, the GOP should author a bill repealing NICS.

But, for some reason, the "reasonable" GOP always thinks their counter-offer has to be a subset of what the Democrats proposed.

My XP100 is similar. Had it since 1976, but still a fine weapon, with 3X Burris long eye relief.

That’s a pertinent and relatively unknown piece of US History. Thanks.

2. All semiautomatic pistols that can accept a detachable magazine and have at least one military feature:.....capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip; or semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm.

Having a barrel is a military feature.

Law bans the sale, or TRANSFER of these guns. Does transfer ban mean that you cant will them to your kids and that you have to turn them in when you die?

National Firearms Act (NFA). Title 26, United States Code, Chapter 53. The implementing regulations are found in Title 27, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 479.

Gun Control Act (GCA). Title 18, United States Code, Chapter 44. The implementing regulations are found in Title 27, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 478. i.

Transfer: Selling, assigning, pledging, leasing, loaning, giving away, or otherwise disposing of a firearm.

The Mini-14 is on the list this time.

This is good news. difi’s typical overreach has produced a poison pill that no one who is sane will touch.

AFAIC signing onto it is a death sentence.

5. All ammunition feeding devices (magazines, strips, and drums) capable of accepting more than 10 rounds.

I guess I’m supposed to stuff cotton balls into my XDM magazine? Or perhaps cut the grip down to size with a hacksaw so a 10-round mag will work?

"If threaded barrels are prohibited, how is a barrel to be mated to the receiver?"

Maybe that's for outlawing the bolt action rifles.

Oh, okay, "All semiautomatic rifles..." But yes, the political/regulator class is that stupid (re. politicians, most favored constituents,...).

Why not register HIV carriers? They are an actual threat to public safety. The same people who want queer marriage and privacy for disease carriers also want gun control. My grandfather had TB back in the 20’s and got involuntarily confined in a sanitarium and the hell with his family as far as the government was concerned.he has the last laugh and lasted to 93 still smoking and drinking

Don’t bet on it.

They are pushing this because the GOP hasn’t stood up to a single thing Obama has done yet.

And the GOP is still trying to decide if it wants to stay the “conservative” party.

This bill will never make it out of committee. Good luck getting more than a handful of Dems to vote for it. I cannot imagine Dingy Harry ever bringing this to the floor of the Senate for a vote.

**
I don’t know. In this day of black is white and everything else being upside down in the universe, I don’t trust them for a minute. It’s exactly what we thought about Romney winning, healthcare passing, etc, etc. These Dems are SO evil and SO crafty and sneaky, just do NOT trust the process anymore.

Go count the votes. Start simple, just look at the Senate. The bill is DOA.

Do you really think it will pass a GOP controlled House?

It’s smoke meant to distract you from the bigger issues, like say the deficit or Obama’s spending or ZIRP. Don’t even get me going on murder a la Obama.

“I can’t believe DiFi made the same mistake again. “

I can. She’s a Dimf@#$, and all DimF@#$s are walking, talking, mistake factories looking for a reality to corrupt.

Like Michael Savage or not; he’s dead-nutz accurate about at least ONE thing: LIBERALISM IS A MENTAL DISORDER.

"DO NOT INFRINGE OR YOU VOID THE CONTRACT - THE CONSTITUTION - AND ARE ILLEGITIMATE."

Gutting the Bill Of Rights without the constitutionally proper repeal of an Amendment is on the face of it unconstitutional.

Legislators so voting take terrible risks.

What was said about Obamacare?

That wasn’t supposed to pass the House either.
