Someone needs to call the emotional gun grabbers on the issue of people being killed by guns. The fact is that if 1,000 people were killed by guns, and they weren’t, 990 of them would have been young urban gangsters shooting each other, in gun-free zones like Chicago. I live in the South, and other than in certain neighborhoods in Atlanta, we are not shooting each other. Our rifles just sit there and behave themselves. This idea of a “crisis” of “assault weapons” is not even accurate when referring to the young urban hoodlums. It’s a manufactured crisis, pure and simple.
