accidents happen all the time. Nuclear stuff is complicated—one wrong move and things just go boom. Those scientists might be glowing by the time they get them out.

All this is like the mysterious blasts that may have destroyed a Syrian reactor a while back. The news seeped out over a period of weeks, all kinds of phog arose, veiled accusations, an odd external fuel tank in Turkey.
Then everyone went away muttering.
