“Kirk, a five-term congressman for the North suburban 10th District, was a Republican leader on gun control issues in the House. Until this week, however, his office was vague on his upcoming involvement in the national debate.”

Kirk is just another tool for Obama to use like Obama is using Rino Hagel.

No offense to Kirk but why would the republicans allow a recent stroke victim work on this kind of legislation?

Senate Conservatives should kill this with poison ( super liberal) amendments then vote against it.

Wish they would all work this hard on a budget.

“No offense to Kirk but why would the republicans allow a recent stroke victim work on this kind of legislation?”

“No offense to Kirk but why would ‘his fellow ‘Rinos’ allow a recent stroke victim work on this kind of legislation?”

Change made.

Answer: Because that is what Rinos do.

I have to admit I voted for Kirk. IIRC, he was running against former dingbat IL Treasurer Alex Giannoulos (sp?)and I certainly wasn’t going to vote for that clown.

When Kirk was in the House, he was one of only seven Republicans to vote FOR the cap-and-trade legislation. He caught hell for that and did a mea culpa. So I’m surprised he is considering any gun legislation. I guess it’s time to send a few letters to his office and try to set him straight.

As a side note, anyone else notice that when he returned to Congress after his rehab, he was met at the Capitol steps by Democrats (Biden, Manchin and Durbin)? Kind of telling isn’t it?

That’s the way to get America’s gun rights people on your side. Have Illinois legislators propose gun controls/sarc. The from the state with over 500 gun related killings last year. Why don’t they start by cleaning up their own messes?

Statement from Chris W. Cox Regarding Universal Background Checks

Posted on January 24, 2013

An article appearing on TheHill.com today asserted that Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) is working on a bill with the NRA that would implement universal background checks.

NRA does NOT support universal background checks and is not working with Manchin to implement this type of legislation. NRA opposes, and will continue to oppose, universal background checks and registration schemes.

I met the little shrimp and have to say, he was slimey from head to toe. Why is it that IL can’t ever find decent candidates to run? Oh nevermind, with mike and lisa at the helm, we are stuck.

What the heck does his stroke recovery have to do with his anti-gun treasonous behavior? Or is that a cover by the MSM to give power and validity to his actions?

The left will use his condition as a shield, and so will some RINOS.
