After a three-year run as a paid contributor to the nations highest-rated cable news channel, Sarah Palin and FOX News have cut ties, according to a source close to the former Alaska governor.
Its my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement, the source close to Palin told RCP. She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.
The source declined to say whether Palin would pursue a television contract with another news network, such as CNN.
After resigning as governor in 2009, Palin became one of FOX News marquee on-air assets, appearing frequently across its programming and often generating headlines for her memorable and characteristically provocative commentary.
In 2010, FOX News constructed a studio inside Palins Wasilla, Alaska, home where her husband Todd would sometimes act as cameraman and producer during her live television appearances.
Palins relationship with FOX appeared to take several rocky turns. In a Facebook post during the Republican convention last August, for instance, the 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee lamented that the news channel had cancelled all my scheduled interviews tonight.
A spokesperson for FOX did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I hope she is. That would be great!
I would imagine that ALL the MSM news channels will carry this tonight as it is an opportunity to “Gloat over the corpse” of what they think is Sarah Palin’s dead career...
Good. She is better than FOX
She is also better than the GOP, to tell you the truth. Hopefully she will join Renew America Coalition and make appearances with Alan Keyes who is one of the few making sense these days.
Dang it!! I’m sorry to hear this. If I knew ahead of time that she was going to be on I made sure to watch.
Good. She is better than FOX. (Do you hear an echo echo...?)
LOL - the author is extraordinarily stupid to add this line...
I didn’t like the shabby treatment she was all too often shown of Faux.

I thought she had bought a home in Arizona. If so; I’d like to see her take McPains senate seat.
Yep, Alan is consistent and has been making sense for decades. I voted for Keyes in the 2000 GOP primary.
She’ll be on TV for sure and we will know ahead of time
Just because she doesn’t have a contract, she can and will appear, wherever and whenever she wants.
God bless her if she is.
Stripping herself of the chains that bind her perhaps.
I’d liken it to removing the tack, and letting that horse run free. NOT that I think Sarah is a horse...HELL NO! Just she needs to be free, unencumbered, to be herself.
Let it hit the fan.
The GOP does not deserve Newt or Palin. They are too good for that party.
