Homeland Security training TSA workers to save themselves in shooting
The Washington Times ^ | Jan 26, 2013 | Alan Jones

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint screeners are receiving training to prepare them for the possibility of a mass shooting at one of the agency’s airport checkpoints, and those TSA personnel are being instructed to “save themselves” should a shooting occur.

It is unclear whether the TSA is conducting the reported mass shooting scenario training at airports around the nation or only at the airport where our source, a veteran of the TSA, is assigned. The TSA source claims with obvious concern that his own life, along with the lives of other unarmed TSA personnel, would be in grave danger were an airport checkpoint shooting to unfold.

What a brilliant deduction, how long did it take for him to figure that out?

Here's your training, Mr. TSA Agent.

Jump into your scanner and assume the position...

And now the bad guys know it is safe for them to start their rampages near the TSA agents. Aside from the public — why not tell who else is unarmed? Bad guys need to know!

So the jelly donuts aren’t food - they’re actually bullet absorbers?

Are we sure this just isn't being used as a justification to arm TSA agents?

What percentage of TSA employees would you trust to be trained with firearms?

Let alone operate in the crowded environment they work in!!

“What percentage of TSA employees would you trust to be trained with firearms?”

Oh come now. If you can trust them with your rolex watch, wad of cash, and laptop computer, then you can trust them with guns. /s

my first thought also. the wholesale purchase of bullets in the recent past by DHS is conceivably being done by the few remaining fed bureaucrats in charge of thinking multiple steps in advance.

Of course they should save themselves. Otherwise it would be impossible to travel by air.

They are the only ones armed in the area being attacked, so they "save" themselves, leaving the unarmed.

Sounds like democrats, for sure........

Not while they're being shot at. They will, however, save their own asses and the citizens they herd into their security apparatus like cattle, well, whatever happens to them just happens.

For FedGov agencies, SOP.

The purpose of the TSA is to have a place to transfer postal workers instead of laying them off.

“TSA personnel are being instructed to “save themselves” should a shooting occur.”

These are the same Rambos that some here on FR believe will go door-to-door to confiscate weapons. American leftists are cowards, and I don’t care what federal alphabet agency they belong to. These federal fascists are interested in four things:

1. Their paycheck.

2. Their pension.

3. Their asses.

4. Running away from any threat to preserve No 1, 2 and 3.

You are right on the money, and no one else here is aware of what you have said.

A bureaucrat’s (I spell it bureaKaRatz) FIRST mission is to protect the MISSION.

A RATZ second mission is to EXPAND the mission.

I have written several papers on the phenomenon of ‘institutionalization.’ (another lifetime, in a different time warp) The common theme is that once a bureaucracy is breathed into life, its whole mission is to protect and expand the life of the institution and NOT pursue and solve the problem for which it was created.

If you solve the problem for which the institution was created, then, who needs you anymore? Buh-by paycheck, seeyalater gobmint pension.

After that the next driving urge is “mission creep.” If you expand the parameters of the mission, you guarantee the life of the institution.

Why do they do this?

For:
1. Their paycheck.

2. Their pension.

3. Their asses.

4. To feed their scut families at the public tit.

Mostly, they could never make it in the private sector. They have NO OPTIONS other than to grovel to and do the tyrant’s bidding.

These stains on the Constitution are boy Barry’s street army.

Count on it.
