AG Ken Cuccinelli saves truck driver from burning rig (true story!)

You know that old story about the only thing saving a candidate is to have them pull someone from a burning car?

It’s not like Ken Cuccinelli needed the help… but yeah, Cuccinelli really just did this, courtesy of NBC 12.

Chenard said he pulled the car up along side of the semi and they saw the back tires of the trailer were engulfed in flames. It was clear the driver was not aware of the problem. Chenard honked his horn to get the driver’s attention and Cuccinelli yelled to the driver out the window and convinced her to pull over.

As soon as they both came to a stop, the Attorney General went to assess the situation.

“I skipped by the cab back to the back of the truck and sure enough it was still on fire,” he said.

So what did Ken do? Call 911? Heck no — awesome doesn’t wait for 911… awesome goes in and puts that fire out!

Cuccinelli helped the driver out of the cab of the truck and then went in search of a fire extinguisher. After finding one he instructed Chenard to call for help and he ran to the back of the truck to help the driver put out the flames.

Damn straight that’s what awesome Attorney Generals do!

Cuccinelli said the truck’s flatbed trailer, which was carrying a heavy load, was in rough shape.

“It looked like her breaks locked up and one of the wheels was burning,” he said.

After extinguishing the fire, Cuccinelli and Chenard sat and waited with the driver until Louisa County Emergency crews arrived. Cuccinelli said the driver was in serious pain from an injury unrelated to fire. The Louisa County Sheriff’s also responded to the scene and confirmed Cuccinelli’s story.

Read the cover story on Cuccinelli in the new issue of Newsmax magazine. There are other stories of principled
heroism in the piece, that you DON’T EVER see from other politicians. Very impressive man.

He’s such a good, decent man! You’d never see Terry McAwful do anything like this. Ever! He’d sit by rubbernecking sipping his Starbucks latte.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-gop/2982151/posts based on http://www.timesdispatch.com/news/state-regional/cuccinelli-to-rescue-when-truck-catches-fire/article_db271faa-67c9-11e2-9644-0019bb30f31a.html which references AP, but AP references Times Dispatch ~ given it’s incredibly local Virginia flavor this story was probably picked up by Times Dispatch and offered up to AP for further publication elsewhere. I particularly liked the KIND TO FEMINISTS aspect ~ this was a lady truck driver ~ Ken cares ~ the Democrats are faking it.

Holder would have found the nearest rest area, pulled in, assumed a fetal position and sucked his thumb (assuming Obama wasn’t available) and begun whimpering!

Also what was the other injury that was causing pain? If she was in so much pain why was she driving? That put aside “good job Ken”.
