Palin: 'We can't just preach to the choir'
The Politico ^ | January 26, 2013 | Mackenzie Weinger

In Sarah Palin’s first interview since parting ways with Fox News, the former Alaska governor said she doesn’t want to “just preach to the choir" and that she is looking to take her message to a "larger audience."

Palin told Breitbart News there needs to be “more truth-telling in the media” and called for fellow conservatives to follow her lead and expand their audience.

“I encourage others to step out in faith, jump out of the comfort zone, and broaden our reach as believers in American exceptionalism,” she told the conservative news site in a short Q&A. “That means broadening our audience. I’m taking my own advice here as I free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation.”

“We can't just preach to the choir,” she said. “The message of liberty and true hope must be understood by a larger audience.”

It was reported Friday that Palin had parted ways with Fox News after three years and would no longer be a paid contributor. Palin joined Fox News in 2009, after she resigned as Alaska governor.

As for her future plans, Palin told Breitbart News the “door is wide open.”

“I know the country needs more truth-telling in the media, and I’m willing to do that,” she said. “So, we shall see.”(continued)

Here’s the problem....demographics. The huge blocks of blacks and/or hispanics aren’t listening and are loyal Dems...aka...the sheep. She can’t change that.

Unless someone can buy NBC and ABC and CBS, it’ll be almost impossible

Why not?

(asking partly naively, but partly in earnest)

It seems that our country is under attack...it has been successfully divided by the Obama and the Libs.

There are very few who have not joined a choir. There are only two...the Left Choir and the Right.

We will never win any of those on the Left...they are dead to us.

We need to scream the truth...but don't be heartbroken when none on the left join us.

Palin is wonderfull...but her sell-by date has expired.

This is true. How do you change 51% takers? 74% of unmarried women voted for Obama. If the percentage of the voting married population were the same as when Reagan got elected, Romney would be in the White House today. To make matters we have RINOs like McCain, Graham, Rubio, as part of a bipartisan caucus for post-Reagan (Simpson-Mazzoli), Amnesty II.

Good luck Ms. Palin, But Obama’s re-election has sent us all over the cliff.

You can say that again.. less and less people are showing up for choir practice...
Wonder what that means?... maybe less and less members of the choir?..

Republican pastors are getting blown off course.. and when I say blown I mean blown.. the republican party sucks..

For an example, look at the Catholic vote. They started voting Democrat in the 1800’s as a reaction to the Wig party (which became the Republicans). Now, as the Democrats have morphed into an anti Catholic, if not anti Christian, party Catholics still vote for them.

Why? Because their Great Grandfather was treated bad by the Republican Know Nothings. It has become a tribal identity. Even the bishops are scared to confront anti life Democrat Catholics, because they know that their first loyalty is to the party, not the Church.

For someone to leave the tribal party, you risk alienation. Ask Alan Keys how much he lost by joining the GOP. To break that sort of tribal identity you need change the leaders of that tribe. Which doesn’t happen very often, and which we as conservatives are going to be at a disadvantage.

Now, I do believe we need to approach people on a personal level. Reach out to them. But we also need to be aware that the tribal identity (be it race, gender, religion, whatever) will push a great many away no matter what.

Then why is she still headline news? Who is this “center left” Republican candidate who will ease the Hispanics, Asians and blacks back into the GOP tent without the party becoming a pale reflection of the Democratic Socialists? Are you saying that the USA is destined for one party rule from now on?

Maybe. More likely than not there will be a tyranny soon. We are nearing the end of the democratic phase of history. The republican died a long time ago.

We already have a few families who control a lot of the power.

Unless someone can buy NBC and ABC and CBS, it’ll be almost impossible.

In another thread, I proposed something that actually quite doable and, I think, attainable. I have a plan of how a fulltime Patriotic media outlet can be achieved with the aid of financial backing from Sheldon Adelson, Charles Koch and his family as well as Rush Limbaugh. All three of them are Conservatives who have made good sums of money through creativity, hard work and faith in the free enterprise system.

The first frontal assault is to defund both PBS and NPR. Taxpayers are tired of funding these pro-commie, pro-muzzie sources that undermine America. Once those two outfits no longer suck at the teat of our fellow countrymen, the assets and capital of both will be available at pennies on the dollar for the three patriots to acquire. Even the initials can stay in place (to tweak liberals) but the branding is far different:

PBS: Patriot Broadcasting System
NPR: National Patriot Radio

The lineup will be 24-hours of Christian and Jewish Conservatism anchored by these Patriotic voices:

What's noteworthy is who will be excluded. Leftists such as Juan Williams, Geraldo Rivera, Dennis Kuchinich and Bob Beckel can be left to their little playground at Fox while the two Patriot networks, on a 24/7 schedule, triumph by articulating the Conservative, Judeo-Christian values that are at the center of the real America.

Back in the 1980's, when Ronald Reagan was president, Jesse Helms spearheaded a movement for Conservatives to band together to buy CBS and fire Dan Rather. Given the current existential crisis, and with the financial prowess of the Conservatives I mentioned, Helms' vision of a network reflecting the values of our Founding Fathers can be a reality. Imagine a steady diet of pro-God, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-military news and commentary to counteract the evil anti-American propaganda of the state-run media.

well said. we have to find a way to expose the tribal identity farce and make it cool for people to be an individualist and rebel against this manipulation. People don’t like to be manipulated. problem is most of these people are so brainwashed they don’t even know whats going on

Do not confuse voters facing the confusion between a Muslim or Mormon candidate, with actual faith.

Palin is Christian, and that will hold her in good stead with the church and with Christians.

She is not a Mormon. The confusion of this last election should not be encountered again.

Its "funny" that you say that.....

I have been speculating for a while right here and on Twitter just what it would take to form a "group", pool some bucks and buy enough stock in one of the MSM companies to gain some respect and maybe have some influence on who runs the place, what kind of programming and people they put on the air.

I have a little money that I could contribute, but have no clue how to organize a group....and I have no clue as to how much stock in the company it would take to accomplish some influence over the MSM company.

Only a media parrot would say would say such a thing and they are a dime a dozen; thus, your usefulness has expired.

Sarah was never for sale.

Either that or we stop feeding them when the dollar collapses.

They starve because they are enslaved to the DNC and do not know how to feed themselves.

Societal evolution.
