By Abby Phillip Jan 27, 2013 Senate Immigration Proposal To Include Pathway To Citizenship

Two senators at the center of negotiations over comprehensive immigration reform, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) said on Sunday that a pathway to citizenship is an essential component of a comprehensive reform bill.

“That has to be also part of it,” McCain told ABC News’ Martha Raddatz on “This Week” when asked whether a pathway to citizenship would be a component of reform. “There’s a new appreciation on both sides of the aisle including, maybe more importantly on the Republican side of the aisle, that we have to enact comprehensive immigration reform.”

The “Republican” side of this bipartisan committee is represented by McCain, Graham, and Flake - all long time supporters of amnesty.

Remember, it was the McCain-Kennedy Amnesty Act of 2007 (with support from see-you-at-the-signing Bush and Rove)
that turned people against the Republican Establishment and caused millions of 2004 Bush voters to stay home in 2008.

I’m afraid that our RINO Senate is now truly lost lost now. They are going to appease and cop out. I will not vote for either of my Georgia Senators again - EVER, whom I’m sure will go along with this. These country club SOBs can rot where they belong.

The 30 million illegals are low income people, working for unreported cash, sucking off taxpayer-provided freebies. If citizens, they will continue to be low income by and large, bring in large entended families to suck on the public taxpayer nipple and of course, vote Dem to keep the freebies coming.

The Repubs will never win another election after that.

McCain, per norm, stabs Conservatives in the back. His time in a communist prison seems to have made him a “change agent”, but not one in the interests of the Country.

There’s already a pathway to citizenship.
It begins at an American consulate in their native country.

Simple, legal.

Too late for that now. I’ll also make it “simple”...they hate us gringos and do not respect this country so do not respect them back.

And why isn’t deporting citizens of Mexico back to their own goddamn countries part of it?

National suicide. This will only accelerate the leftist takeover. This could still be stopped for the good of our country IF any leader cared enough.

Illegal immigration is an insane non policy for our country.

Worth a mention that the architect of this, Bob Menendez, is a drunken perverted pedophile as well as a race baiter.

Sure, let filthy degenerate scum make our policies, that’s a good plan.

I wish someone would just talk to some of these illegals. They DON’T WANT to be citizens. They just want to come in here, make a little money while they collect some government freebies, and then go home and live well. It only takes about 5 or 6 years to do that for a Mexican.

Want to solve the problem? Cut out the aid programs, and clamp down on businesses who hire them, and they’ll be back in their home countries by the end of the month.

So what the hell good is U.S. Citizenship anymore? Illegals can come and go at will, suckle off the taxpayer teat, get affirmative action preferences if their skin is the right color, be exempt from paying taxes, get priority ER treatment without buying insurance or paying in to ObamaCare and even vote and demonstrate without fear of prosecution. I wonder if my son-in-law can get back all of the fees for visas he paid to get a green card and get on an expedited path to citizenship which he started nearly five long years ago.

Probably not, since he is a consservative, taxpaying productive member of society like the rest of us schmucks who frequent this forum.

Dear Black Communities:

For decades you were the DNC’s loyal foot soldiers and voting block. When the Hispanics become the dominant minority, you won’t be worth squat and you’ll have your seat-at-the-table revoked.

Obama has got a new bitch to pimp out and it ain’t you sucka.

I wish someone would just talk to some of these illegals. They DON’T WANT to be citizens.

And I wish somebody would talk to the legals. Every poll of legal citizen Latinos has resulted in almost 2-to-1 disapproval of any kind of amnesty for illegals.

And why not? These people were, after all, born American -- their families having been here for hundreds of years -- or they earned their citizenship the right way. By working for it.

If the GOP yearns to earn legal Hispanic votes, they will stand against amnesty for illegals.

McCain's retirement will be a BIG win for the party and us all........

Senate Immigration Proposal To Include Pathway To xxxxxxx Democrat Voter Registration.

Much more accurate title.

The cons:
This is anti-rule of law, it shifts the nation toward one-party rule at the federal level, it encourages increased illegal entry, it reduces public confidence in government and law, it puts downward pressure on wages, it increases crime because the illegal underground railroad is a good place for criminals to hide and travel and it creates business opportunities for those who operate in document falsification and border violation, it burdens health care and education systems, it strengthens the underground economy and lowers tax revenues, it brings health and social problems from other nations to the US, it populates the US with people who have not been educated in American culture, history, or citizenship, it boosts the voter rolls for anti-American politicians.

Pros:
Hmmmmm......McCain gets some TV time.

I recently spoke with a Repub appointee who believed that the illegals were “natural Republicans”—that kind of flawed belief will be fatal to the Repub party. If there was no downside risk, then such beliefs would be merely laughable, but the downside risk here is extreme and the upside potential for the Repub party appears non-existent.

GOP problem with illegal immigration have no one to blame but themselves. We were too busy taking on the Dems we forgot the traitor within the ranks, it was corporate America and Chamber of Commerce. Who do you think was hiring them until 9/11 wrecked that scheme and smashing the ones who were concern with smears of xenophobic, racism and isolationism. Wake up conservatives, corporate America is equally the enemy of personal liberty and national sovereignty. They will sell both out for a smooth transition to profits. I think we have hit the tipping point and the Hispanics won. Reality is the conservatives will have to figure on how to survive in this new political reality where Hispanics have become the new kingmakers in the US. Good news is in this new status there is a fight who will be the dominant group in a coalition of color folks. Blacks and Hispanics are fighting everyday in Los Angles and soon the state of CA as whites will no longer be the dominant ethnic group. Hispanics will take over CA, and blacks will be the first target by the new dominant group. I would like to see what happens to Obamacare costs as another 13 to 20 million unanticipated US citizens hit the rolls as they get amnesty, become US anchors for their extended families. The sad part is these new poor immigrants think the gringos (middle class) have so much they can afford to share a little to the poor via taxes. Guarantee the Catholic Church will be in the act along with the liberal whites. US is heading for more turmoil. My recommendation is take care of your family and children first, especially the children. Armed them with education, good skills and financial acumen to survive, prosper in a society of low information voters. Learn how the super rich liberals survive with their wealth intact.

In 4 more years we will need another of these amnesty programs for all of those who continue to sneak in.

No program should start until armed guards with orders to shoot to kill are placed on the border to stop more illegals from coming in.

If we are to do this every 3 or 4 years, why not just take down the border gates and make Mexico a state?

During the war it was rumored that John McCain got special treatment in the prison camp because his father was an Admiral, I have no trouble believing that as I see how he double crosses his political party

Speaking of immigration legislation, given that some freepers haven't seen this before, Vice President Thomas Jefferson had noted, in terms of the 10th Amendment nonetheless, and regardless of today's PC interpretation of the uniform Rules of Naturalization clause (Article I, Section 8, Clause 4), that the states have never delegated to Congress via the Constituton the specific power to regulate immigration.
"4. _Resolved_, That alien friends are under the jurisdiction and protection of the laws of the State wherein they are: that no power over them has been delegated to the United States, nor prohibited to the individual States, distinct from their power over citizens. And it being true as a general principle, and one of the amendments to the Constitution having also declared, that "the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people," the act of the Congress of the United States, passed on the -- day of July, 1798, intituled "An Act concerning aliens," which assumes powers over alien friends, not delegated by the Constitution, is not law, but is altogether void, and of no force." (emphases added) --Thomas Jefferson, Draft of the Kentucky Resolutions - October 1798.

So based on Thomas Jefferson's expert understanding of the Constitution, immigration is a unique, 10th Amendment protected state power issue.

Also note that Jefferson's stance on state power to regulate immigration probably helped him to be elected as the 3rd president.

All of the Mexican illegals can have dual citizenship. Their first loyalty is to Mexico. What bugs me is that most of the illegals are not even asking for citizenship. They want permanent resident status. They don’t want to salute the U.S. flag. They salute the red white and green.

“In 4 more years we will need another of these amnesty programs for all of those who continue to sneak in.”

Precisely.
The term “comprehensive immigration reform” is a semantic smokescreen that would make a crow blush.
But they don’t have the honesty to just come right out and say what they really want. They want what La Raza wants. So they use expressions like `comprehensive immigration reform’ and `a pathway to citizenship’ and `the system is broke, we must fix it.’ They don’t want to fix anything. They want to kick the can down the road, like the budget.

Go ahead, Congress: If you want to see “people coming out of the shadows” ignore the 2nd amendment; keep killing unborn babies; spend us into bankruptcy; tax us `til we’re dry ...
We know who you are and we know what you are: venal dilettantes working 15 hour weeks, twenty weeks a year, slopping at the public trough—unfaithful and irresponsible servants. And we know where to find you.

It’s not much of a win unless it can pass in the House too. Normally, I’d say that was in doubt, but the GOPe has a suicidal urge to coddle illegals, so who knows?

Senate Immigration Proposal To Include Pathway To Citizenship

This not an immigrant pathway to citizenship this is a citizenship pathway to lawbreakers.

The spineless and the leftists attempt to mold laws to legalize the illegal.

No pardons, no Amnesty -let the illegals self deport!
