LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Again, people have to learn to STOP PLAYING POLICEMAN. If you have a gun pointed on a burglar inside your house, EMPTY IT (unless you think it might jam). You are only asking for trouble when you try to hold someone at gunpoint. Get rid of the problem, because the courts will not.
I agree w you both. Now,this thug knows the homeowner has weapons so when he returns to burglarize that property again, he’ll be picking up some nice, new guns for himself.
People are stupid. A cop once told me “get the job done, then call us”
enjoy your last moments of self defence- the left is tryign hteir damdest to make usre homeowners are NOT able to defend themselves any l ogner!
Some people cannot live with the idea of wounding or killing someone if an alternative is available.
The intended victim usually has more moral integrity than the burglar.

I remember a training class that I took in California (of all states). They said, draw the guy into your bedroom, if you can, then finish him off. You have two things to worry about - the first is that you were scared for your life, and the second is getting sued.
So, for the first, if you fill the guy with lead that shows that you were scared (rightly or wrongly); for the second, getting him into your bedroom means that he was a real threat.
But the bottom line is to try to finish the guy off. You are not only doing yourself a favor, but you may saving the lives of people that would have otherwise been future victims of that particular animal.
But they are losing. Until they can get a white kid to kill 50 black kids, they won’t stand a chance. And so far, no white kid has stepped forward.
In Florida anyone who breaks into a home is considered armed. IMO if you have cause to pull a firearm in this situation you have cause to use it.

Yea, once you have the guy in your house, it is INCUMBENT upon you, as a good citizen, to FINISH the job.
You will win (at least in states like Texas and Florida), as you are NOT trained like cops, and are not expected to be able to distinguish threats in less than half a second. In other words, if you shoot an unarmed kid, you will be forgiven, and your community will be safer because of you.
I wasn’t clear. Florida law considers them armed if they’ve broken into your home.
If someone breaks into your home you do not need further justification. However I’d recommend saying you were in fear for your life and then asking to speak to your lawyer.

I hear you and I know. Florida is like Texas in this area, once they’re in your house, they are fair game and they won’t even be able to sue you. On your property (outside), you’re usually ok too (certainly if armed or otherwise a threat to you). Some other states, mostly in the South, are similar.
But other states are less clear, and California is pretty bad. But nothing matches England, where if you (as a woman) try to defend yourself against being raped with a butter knife, it is you who go to jail, not the rapist (unless you can prove that the rapist intended to ‘hurt’ you, rather than simply rape you).
Castle Doctrine in PA - in your home, out of your home - anywhere you go. You do not need to retreat. There are also protections from law suits if you don’t get the job done.

Nice, now we all have to get some of the part-time gun owners to take advantage of it...
