HUNGRY parents in North Korea have been caught eating their CHILDREN to avoid starvation, according to reports.

One father is said to have been executed by firing squad for killing his two kids for food.

And it has sparked fears there could be further cases of cannibalism in the country.

The Sunday Times told how undercover reporters recorded several horror stories from inside the poverty-stricken nation.

They included one man who dug up his grandchild's corpse to eat and another who boiled his child and ate the flesh.

Thousands of North Koreans are feared to be starving to death while their chubby leader Kim Jong-Un regularly dines on banquets.

It is claimed that more than 10,000 people could have died from in the provinces south of the capital Pyongyang alone.

Socialism DOES rapidly industrialize an economy, at least initially.

It doesn't.

There is plenty of evidence to show that it does, INITIALLY - Russia went from a feudal ag society to a heavily industrialized one in a decade or so. To do so it used up the capital rapidly, and factories WERE built. It is just that they produced garbage most of the time. Plus, since wealth was not being created the money runs out; thus poverty and stagnation.

If you could take a 3rd world country and socialize it; but just for 6-7 years then privatize the economy you'd probably have a vibrant (or at least decent) economy. This is of course assuming you protected private property and allowed upward mobility.

If these people were this bad off sooner or later a few of them would band together and take what they need from those who have it , and before long we would be rid of Kim Jong Il.

Those who fail to learn the lessons of history are condemned to forever repeat them.

Did the Ukranians overthrow Stalin when he starved them almost out of existence?

How do you expect the N Koreans to overthrow their govt when that govt has all the guns?

That has nothing to do with Socialism. It has to do with cannibalizing the aggregated wealth created by the previous economy.

However we do use parts of the aborted babies for things like make up and taste testing soft drinks.

When it happens, People should first eat the people who made it happen.

If hillary shows up on the menu, I'll happily give you my portion :)

Coming to a middle class neighborhood near us before long. The longer politicians wait to cut excessive spending, the uglier it’s going to be.

Maybe. See, I've come to realize that our media (and the British) lies outright, so.. now I read stuff with an eye towards whether it is outright lying propaganda.

On the other hand, NK is awful and utterly in crushing poverty.

Also, only one or two families or people are cited to have committed cannibalism, and that is the same number you hear about in America in a given period of time, so they could be taking crazy criminal behavior and trying to make it seem like it is mainstream.

Thanks for this link. Very sobering.

I can not help but see the same adoration by the left of Obama...the Dear Leader who, in their ignorant view, is fixing all of the ills of our country.

The adoring crowds, the praising, the fawning, the mindless acceptance of his views and actions, the willing loss of freedom....very familiar, indeed.

Yes, North Koreans must praise their leader because the real reason is brainwashing and fear. If they do not praise him with incredible emotion, they will get a one way ticket to a concentration camp, if they are not exterminated first.

But what drives the adoration and praise for our leader? I think it is, pure and simple, class envy, laziness, and stupidity. And, there is plenty of that in this country. When all goes to hell in hand basket - which it will - these same people will blame everything else and everyone else for the sad state of affairs they so willingly and enthusiastically voted for.

” The world knows it and lets it continue. Shame on us.”

I share your emotion but I wonder, what are we to do? Invade? Are we supposed to start a war?

It is too close to what we see, though not that extreme . But i think the NK incredible emotion is real, and that these are raised to worship the Great Leader, which libs would like to see here.

And as man will always worship something, atheism will replace one with the other, while Jesus manifests the one God worthy of devotion, which is best for man.

A lesson in communism which is quite obviously lost on our benighted and gormless president.

You can see why a lot of South Koreans don’t want unification. North Koreans, while I pity them, probably aren’t ready to be part of a real civilization. They are cult members, they are prisoners, they are deeply scarred and unprepared for the real world.

Well, I am a cynic by nature...so here is my guess: Nobody (including GWB, unfortunately) will deal with reality. They know that the population is starving and has been for several generations. But, they also know that if they cut off the food donations (a great deal of which don't even get to the population)there will be an eventual meltdown. Even staggering, starved, out of their mind people will eventually just start rushing the border...South Korea is VERY afraid of that border falling and being overwhelmed. So we keep giving them food aid, it adds just enough to not bring the whole scheme down and S. Korea is “safe”. Now that that fat little pig is in charge he is changing the equation. Something is going to change...either they start selling nukes to everybody who has $$$, bomb the US or we actually cut off the food donations and the border falls and S. Korea is toast.

I have no idea what to do, this is just how I see this situation in a nut shell. A coalition probably should have been put together 20+ years ago and facilitated a regime change...as soon as we saw the forced starvation of millions. But....nobody cared enough. Just my guess.
