Israeli intelligence source confirms underground nuclear facility sustained major damage in a “mega explosion” last week.

An Israeli intelligence source has confirmed Iran’s Fordow underground nuclear uranium enrichment facility sustained major damage in a “mega explosion” that occurred last week.

Fordow, which contains at least 2,700 centrifuges for uranium enrichment, is located deep beneath a mountain near the Iranian city of Qom.

Some 200 workers were trapped inside the facility at the time, according to a report published Monday by The Times, a UK-based newspaper.

The report quoted an Israeli official as saying “We’re still in the early stages of trying to comprehend what happened and the extend of its significance.” The source added that it was not yet known whether the explosion was “an act of sabotage or incidental.”

The official declined to reveal whether Israeli aircraft had been in the vicinity at the time of the explosion.

Iran has denied that any explosion occurred at the facility, claiming in a statement to the official IRNA news agency that reports of the blast were nothing more than “Western propaganda.”

We are always wishing the best for the Iranian nuclear program.... death doom chaos and destruction plus spinning centrifuges inexplicably flying apart into shrapnel that cascades into the other spinning centrifuges and so on into other centrifuges

“Hope it is the top scientists and not poor worker bees.”

I hope it is top scientists AND poor worker bees.

Nuke techs are not exactly something someone finds on the street. Takes a year or more to train the lower-level folks.

Trapped, Trapped? How about pureed? Well, they said they were trying to enrich URANIUM-——now they know what critical mass means——maybe. At the very least they are learning about high powered machinery-—the hard way. Famous last words: Hey Parveez-—try to spread out those shiny bricks when you stack them——woops.

Both the Germans (Deutchevelle) and Al Jazeera English agree something significant went south. That’s good enough for me. They’re better than our wastes-of-space media who report stuff like this days later if at all.

So if it went boom, and 200 are trapped inside, is it because they locked the door? Because that plant is most likely the worlds biggest dirty bomb now.

Something this large can’t be kept “secret” for long, especially if there are foreign nationals involved, which is likely.

It’s extremely unlikely that this was a nuclear explosion in the conventional definition.

It may be a kinetic event or conventional explosion that dispersed nuclear material.

This is called BDA, "bomb [/battle]-damage assessment" .....

If there isn't enough damage, they'll go back.

I hope.

Looks like the Izzies are slo-mo'ing their destruction in detail of the Iranian program. One raid at a time. Interesting. Punch, then drop back and wait. Punch, then wait and assess reaction. Punch again, and wait.

I read somewhere that the half-life of one isotope of cesium is something like 37,000 years.
