Rubio, Senate ‘Gang of Eight’ unveil bipartisan immigration deal (Amnesty, H-1B Visas DOUBLED!)
Miami Herald ^ | 1/28/13 | MARC CAPUTO

A group of eight Democratic and Republicans senators, including Florida’s Marco Rubio, will officially release a wide-ranging immigration plan Monday that could give a pathway to citizenship, tighten border security and increase guest-worker permits.

-snip-

Most controversially, the proposal would give a pathway to residency — and even citizenship — to many of the estimated 11 million immigrants unlawfully in the United States.

Ok, let’s hear from the pandering dummies around here who want to nominate this first term RINO for President just because he’s Hispanic. How do you like him now?

Rubio is NO more eligible to be Prez than the a$$hat currently illegally sleeping in the People's White House.

What about Mitt Romney and Marco Rubio Eligibility? https://libertylegalfoundation.org/what-about-mitt-and-marco/

Senator Marco Rubio Not ‘Natural Born Citizen’
http://bobmccarty.com/2012/04/24/senator-marco-rubio-not-natural-born-citizen/

Both of these references inform us that to meet the requirement to be a NBC you have to be born of parents that are US citizens. One of these articles even claims you do not have to be born on US soil like John McCain.

They will have a fight in the House.

It is NOT over, not even close.

Hispanics, if we ignore them, will become 95% Democrat voters, just like blacks. Democrats will destroy the Republic. This is simple demographic truth.

We need to address their needs or the Democrats will do so—and then the Democrats will use that electoral advantage to crush individual liberty.

This immigration bill may or may not be useful to that end, but the fact is that people will vote for people who “look like them”...and it sure as hell would help the conservative cause if we actively promoted men like Rubio and Cruz.

They may disappoint us once in a while, but their thinking will be much better than that of a Hitlery....

Overall, I am generally AGAINST promoting Senators to the Executive branch....we would do better to look at our bench of governors.

This is amnesty. Any legislation that legalizes the status of those who broke our laws by entering our country illegally and allows them to stay and work here is amnesty. We must not only prevent the Democrats and some moderate Republicans from hijacking the meaning of the word amnesty, but the public must be made aware about the true impact of an amnesty.

The Heritage Foundation concluded that the cost of amnesty would be $2.6 trillion just for increased entitlement program costs. And the number of additional LEGAL immigrants who would join those who were the recipients of amnesty through chain migration, i.e., family reunification, would approach 70 million over a 20-year period, assuming there are only 12 million illegal aliens. We cannot assimilate such numbers. An amnesty would destroy the United States of America with the stroke of a pen.

And yes these people will be allowed to vote once they complete their "earned path to citizenship." This country is finished. Amnesty just hastens the process. The Dems will be the permanent majority party if they are not already nationally.

FWIW, from NumbersUSA...

A Senate 'Gang of Eight' that includes Republicans Marco Rubio, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Jeff Flake and Democrats Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, Bob Menendez, and Michael Bennet have reportedly come to an agreement on a comprehensive immigration reform package that would include an amnesty for the nation's 11 million illegal aliens. An agreement between Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) and Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) is also being finalized in the House. CALL YOUR THREE MEMBERS OF CONGRESS AT (202) 224-3121 AND TELL THEM "NO AMNESTY."

Tell your Three Members of Congress how ridiculous it is that Members of Congress are rushing on immigration reform just to stay ahead of Pres. Obama's announcement that's expected on Tuesday, Jan. 29. Also tell your Members that an amnesty is premature before E-Verify is mandated, an entry-exit system to track non-immigrant visa holders is complete, and chain migration and the visa lottery have been eliminated.

“Amnesty, H-1B Visas DOUBLED!”

Many many of the Indians that come in this way stay here. If/when they get citizenship they will vote for Obama types and Democrats same as the Hindus (Indians) already here

This is a formula for national suicide

These wetbacks have NO regard for the laws of our country. They are NOT moral, legal or hold any conservative values. Just like blacks, they will continue to vote for immoral, illegal activities that democrats are known for. Rubio and his ilk are just helping them to get there faster.

I hope the citizenship clause binds this up in the House. Simply put, the law should read that anyone presently here illegally or coming here illegally in the future will be ineligible for citizenship. They didn’t come here to be citizens. They came to work, game the system, put their kids in our schools, use our hospitals, steal our automobiles, join gangs, rape our women and children and kill people, pretty much the same thing Obama voters in the inner cities do, only adding the work. Change a path to citizenship to a path to legal residency as long as illegals can prove that they have worked and lived here for X amount of time without violating our other laws and abusing our welfare.

The Reps will never get the votes. The Dems would never support amnesty unless they thought they would gain more votes.

If you have the stomach for it, listen to these remarks by Eliseo Medina, the SEIU International Executive Vice President. Truly chilling

Wrong. Boner already has 200 Democrat votes for Amnesty and 35 or so RINO votes too. He only needs 218 votes to pass amnesty. Amnesty is a done deal in the House according to Boner. He doesn't need more than 18 RINOs to pass it since he already has 200 Democrat votes on his side.

I think that we should demand that any path to citizenship require self sufficiency meaning that one can not be receiving public assistance of any kind nor can their dependents as a condition for a citizenship appplication.

You can demand all you want but there is no way that you will prevent all public assistance from going to them. They will receive food stamps and subsidies to enroll in Obamacare just for starters. Once their status is legalized, it will be extremely difficult legally to prevent them from being treated like all other people legally resident in this country.

Also for illegals there should be a penalty of 10 years before they can apply for citizenship. The bar should be set high so we do not continue to produce an alien voting block that is essentially slave labor and a ward of the state.

I doubt it will ever be ten years. And remember these are essentially the same kinds of people that comprise the 1.2 million LEGAL immigrants who enter annually. They have already changed this country's demographics forever. 87% of legal immigrants are minorities as defined by the USG.

How will their kids vote? You may want to ask Governor Jindal and Governor Haley.

I fear you're right, based on the few votes they've had thus far. While the Dems may not have won a "majority"... it seems they have won "functional control" of the House. Meaning, they've got enough votes now to combine with squishy RINO's to enact a bunch of legislation that most of us are going to HATE.

The next two years are going to be ROUGH!

Ryan has already signed on to the Rubio deal. The fix is in. Boehner didn’t appoint Steve King as chairman the House sub-committee on immigration. That was my first clue that there will be a coalition of some Reps and all the Dems to pass this amnesty. This country is finished.

Where are the nice people were pimping Rubio as the next conservative savior, and what do they have to say about this, I wonder?
