It's already a state compliant and undistinguished media (SCUM) whose employees are mostly just skid marks on Journalism's shorts.
I do not expect objective journalism.. I am old enough to remember when each city had several newspapers each newspaper with its bias.
We are finally getting back to those days with the Internet and modern talk radio.

I saw her comments today. She nailed it. For a liberal, she is pretty fair a lot of the time.
One day she will come on with a huge "VOTE 4 Palin" Button and still insist she is a Democrat, because as you said, once she is no longer a Liberal she ceases to be an opposing force to us.
Just like Powell who says he is a Republican only because once he switches over to Democrat he will be ignored because they have 1498566 Liberal Black Democrats.
Thus she will just be another one of our Conservative/Libertarian Hotties, Not like that is a bad thing :)
Every now and then..then all of a sudden she reverts back to a brain dead lib.
My take is that Kirsten is a liberal, but she sees what the media are really like from the inside and doesn’t like what she sees. Maybe she’s just smart enough to realize that too much power on one side leads to Totalitarianism, and that really isn’t good for anyone. Let’s hope so.

Powers is picking up on Limbaugh’s “State-run media” line.
Yeah, she looks like she shaves her legs and pits which takes her out of the Party. Never mind the makeup and hair which looks way too feminine for her commrades.

It would be nice to see Kirsten have an epiphany but a slower change over time is more convincing.
Don't count on either, as soon as her former friends start to talk unkindly about her she'll go all Juan Williams and revert to type.

A shame that a lib has to be the one to tell it straight. This is EXACTLY how it would have played out had a similar event occurred in China or the USSR - a favored government official (one that they can’t just disappear) screws up big time: first pretend it didn’t happen, then point the blame elsewhere, then obfuscate and stonewall if questions are asked, then the pretend illness and “retirement”, the lies and fake “legacy” (the official is always a saint who is above reproach and criticism), all the time with the Party and the state-run media running interference in lockstep. What scares me is that they are so blatant about it, they know we are powerless to stop them. We are SO screwed.
