Mexico’s Cristero War (1926-29) was a grassroots rebellion against the administration of Plucarto Elias Calles, who provoked the Catholic community by arresting priests and forcing the closure of all churches with military force. He sought to restrict – if not eliminate – Catholicism from the country.

People denied a basic human right are gunned down by federal troops and revolt.

From Wiki: "The rebels did well against the agraristas (a rural militia recruited throughout Mexico) and the Social Defense forces (local militia), but—at first—were always defeated by the federal troops who guarded the important cities."

Mexican government forces publicly hanged Cristero rebels on telegraph poles in Jalisco, Mexico. The tactic was used throughout the war, with bodies often remaining on the poles until the pueblo or town renounced public religious practice.

I'd never heard of this rebellion before today.

This movie, based on the true story, reminded me of the War on Catholics that the Kenyan and his commie libs have going today in this country.

Another very good historical film with a similar theme is There Be Dragons (2011)

Saw that movie-—For Greater Glory! It is great-—sent it to a relative for Christmas!!!!

“Kill God” group of Leftists always take the guns and try to eradicate religion. They have to destroy the minds of children-—remove Christian Ethics which teaches “Love one another as yourself” and belief in a Higher Power than government.

Then they can put everyone in “groups” —label people and condition them into hating those groups....like men v. women, class hatred, race hatred, child v. parents.......All Marxist, godless ideology devoid of Christianity.

Homosexual and feminist movements were founded by Marxists-—to destroy the family unit so children become emotional cripples and confused and their reality can be warped, so they believe all the irrational ideology of the Marxists-—like Good is Evil-—sodomy is good and a Right-—women can be in Combat—just like men......complete rubbish to destroy Laws of Nature (Common Sense) and destroy the Romantic Era only possible because of Christian Ethics. Destroy all the fun and beauty. Marxism is ugly and drags everyone down to the lowest common denominator-—reduces us to just base animals and destroys all hope in mankind.

Thanks for the link. I watched the movie online last night and have an interest due to my grandfather’s family living in AZ in the years preceding and working and doing business in Mexico.

This was a three year war that resulted in 90,000 deaths on the North American Continent. I am stunned at the limited amount of information about it available online. It’s almost like the history of this event has been swept under the rug. Why?

The parallels to what is potentially upcoming in this country are illuminating: Resistance with minimal firepower against overwhelming firepower, Rural areas held by resistors, populated areas held by the government, terror used by the government to quell resistance, and a God given freedom stripped from the populace.

Yep, and the Obamites would love to apply the same "solution" to the USA today.

But they have that sticky problem of disarming us first....

The MSM is 110% in his corner with anti-gun propaganda 24-7, but will that be enough? I don't think so.

Immoveable force, meet irresistable object....
