.. Danny Creamer, 21, and Gina Allen, 18, who live in a comfortable two-bedroom flat in Portsmouth with their four month old daughter, Talulah Rose, say they are better off on £17k benefits and argue that unless they are able to find jobs that pay £18,000 a year or more, there's no point in working.

The couple also hit back at those who describe them as scroungers, arguing that because their hard-working parents have paid tax all their lives, they are entitled to claim some of the money back

The pair receive £1,473 per month in benefits or £17,680 per year.

This works out at £340 per week, which includes £140 housing benefit, £60 child tax credit, £20 child benefit and £110 Jobseekers Allowance.

Weekly outgoings include £60 on food, £22.50 on TV, £3.50 on their TV licence plus utility bills, which the pair say they receive no help with.

According to Gina, their 47" flat screen TV is their only luxury, although Danny also admits to smoking roll-up cigarettes which are also paid for by tax payers.

In a statement read out on This Morning, the Department for Work and Pensions said: 'We have to end the absurdity in the welfare system where people are better off claiming benefits than they are in work. ..

You are an idiot. Can you not comprehend the basic difference between people paying their entire lives for a promised benefit, and those who pay nothing ? Can’t you get that to compute in your tiny little pin head?

I do feel sorry for you, and hope you get some help. The idea that, just because you got fleeced, you have the right to fleece your neighbor, is just terrible. But that was the plan, so I’m not surprised.

You might want to seek SSI for your refractory stupidity.

“and for half of my working years it was the only game in town, no IRAs, 401s, no other choices. If taking a monthly disbursement from what was supposed to be my SS account makes me a thief, then I guess I have to plead guilty.”

There were ALWAYS choices...and there still are. But thanks for admitting what you’re doing to my kids, others tend to not understand it.

Yea, and I don’t talk to them anymore for that stunt.

I think it's more than likely that your parents don't speak to you anymore because they realized they raised a jerk. Maybe you should ask your parents how much they receive in SS. Then you could offer to give them that amount every month in exchange for them not taking SS.

I believe that people should be entitled to receive the exact amount they had taken out of their check. They are not entitled to the amount their employers paid in, nor are they entitled to interest. Once they receive that amount they are no longer entitled to any more. If they are poor, then they must apply for welfare.

I also believe that the age you should be able to start collecting SS should be raised to 70. This does not mean you can't retire, it just means you can't get SS payments until you are 70.

I also think we have to do something about disability. It has become a giant scam.

Or did you offer to support them?

They don’t need it, they took care of their own retirement needs...they weren’t DUMB ENOUGH to believe it when the government promised to make debt slaves out of their children and grandchildren to finance their excesses. So they lived (and still live) a very modest life.

Of course I would support them. I’ve got the resources too, as I’ve always lived well under my means too. It rubbed off. I just get upset because they’re FDR children and FDR said that Democrats were “good”, so they vote that way, even in their own age.
