Chuck Hagel’s colleague: So many Jews, so much disloyalty
Washington Post ^ | January 28, 2013 | Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 01/29/2013 3:40:35 PM PST by SJackson

As I have noted a couple times, Chuck Hagel has served as chairman for the Atlantic Council. His vice chairman is Chas Freeman. In a speech in Moscow on December, Freeman took to decrying the “fifth column” of disinformation agents in the United States who act on Israel’s behalf. Aside from the fact that Jews in particular have been branded for hundreds and hundreds of years as disloyal to their countries, the speech is a shocking diatribe that builds on the notion that behind any pro-Israel journalism is a “fifth column” of Jews.

A reader asks whether Freeman was actually singling out Jews. Let’s take a look.

Freeman began his speech by using a Hebrew word to describe this purported enterprise. “In the brief time available to me as a panelist, I would like to put forward some thoughts about the control of narrative and the manipulation of information as an essential element of modern warfare. The Israelis call this ‘hasbara.’ Since they are without doubt the most skilled contemporary practitioners of the art, it seems appropriate to use the Hebrew word for it. And, since Israel’s most recent war (against the Palestinians in Gaza) sputtered to an end just ten days ago, I’ll cite a few examples from that war to illustrate my main points.” A Hebrew — that is, Jewish — moniker for his conspiracy is appropriate, you see.

He asserted these people are traitors to America: “In some countries, like the United States, Israel can rely upon a ‘fifth column’ of activist sympathizers to amplify its messages, to rebut and discredit statements that contradict its arguments, facts, and fabrications, and to impugn the moral standing of those who make such statements.” Each and every one of these fifth columnists, wouldn’t you know it, is Jewish.

Some may remember Charles Freeman as Obama's choice to head the National Intelligence Council in 2009, he went down in flames. But that was first term. Maybe they can find a place with him now.

My two senators from NE had better not vote for UpChuck. He went to the senate the first time and announced that he was there to represent his point of view, not the wishes of Nebraskans who sent him there.

The only reason der Fuehrer wants him is that he will do the kenyan’s bidding without question.

Screw the bastard.

“There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: there is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to… The Outer Limits”
Only now it’s called hasbara. OMG!

Skilled? Give me a break. Israelis are the most inept propagandists that ever drew breath, and anyway “hasbarah” means explanation, not any murky evil manipulations. Of course, to Freedman explaining things using facts and logic must seem murky and evil, since he is incapable of it.

obama appoints an anti-semite to SOD and the Hollywood Jews and the press still worship him. If Bush had appointed Hagel they would have screamed “Bush is an anti-semite!”

If you’ve heard of the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs you’ve heard of him. Former Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Bush 1 I think.

The problem with that is that he rose to promenance under Nixon, served under Reagan and his public career peaked, till now, under Bush 1. He serves both sides of the aisle.

When the globalists turn against a group or wishes to award special status and favoritism to a group, everyone is supposed to fall in line. Currently, they are against the Joooos (and Christians) and for the jihadists.

Looks like they are trying to tag American Jews who support Israel, unpatriotic to America. Next, Jews will be on the domestic terrorist list with the “extremist” Christians who support Israel. In the meantime, the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated the US gov. and they are shiping in jihadists from terrorist nations like crazy.

"The libels on me and their easily traceable email trails show conclusively that there is a powerful lobby determined to prevent any view other than its own from being aired. The tactics of the Israel lobby plumb the depths of dishonour and indecency and include character assassination, selective misquotation, the wilful distortion of the record, the fabrication of falsehoods, and an utter disregard for the truth."... "The aim of this lobby is control of the policy process through the exercise of a veto over the appointment of people who dispute the wisdom of its views, the substitution of political correctness for analysis, and the exclusion of any and all options for decision by Americans and our government other than those that it favours."

—Charles W. Freeman[25][26

Now I remember him, the loudmouth who was once ambassador to Saudi Arabia. And I have seen that magazine from time to time, years ago in the print edition

Did you hear Private Bagel’s explantion to why he refused to designate the Republican Guard as a terrorist group? He said 23 other senators did the same thing, republicans and democrats, then goes on to list a bunch of democrats names, one republican and of course Senator Obama and Joe Biden. This piece of sh*t should have switched parties years ago.
Hearing him speak it’s easy to see he ain’t none too bright, just what the Marxist wants. A yes man. He is probably the most non-qualified person to ever be nominated for Sec of Defense. He has never served on the Armed Services Committee. Obamgabe picked him to be a yes man and nothing else.

Private Bagel, the most unqualified person to ever be nominated for Sec of Defense. He has never been on the Armed Services Committee. His main qualifications and the reason Obama chose him - he hated Bush, and supported Obama for president. And from his testimony on the senate floor, he ain’t too smart. He refused to answer questions and mubbled his way through the rest of the hearings.
