Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) has a message for firearms manufacturers and banks under attack from Chicago Democratic Mayor Rahm Emanuel: Texas welcomes you.
Cruz pilloried Emanuels gun-control efforts and invited executives to consider the warmer, friendlier climes of the Lone Star State in a Tuesday letter to the CEOs of Bank of America, TD Bank, Sturm & Ruger, and Smith & Wesson.

When Bushmaster got sold the new ownership up and moved it to new york. Wonder why cuomo hasn't taken steps to shut them down? Can't move back to Maine, old owners are using old plant and employees to build Windham rifles. Texas should give Bushmaster a call as well.

Dang they pulled the other thread for some reason. Ol Dead Fish needs to stay north of the Red, classic.. Goes for Odinga and Plugs. Although, I would like to give either one of these chaps a warm welcome in Texas....
Saw this one earlier today. Starting to like this guy Cruz a bunch.
Even the Cornyman is following his lead today on the Kerry vote. Maybe because he knows he is going to get primaried next year.

Way to go, Cruz! Loved his smackdown of the Ballerina.
Called Cornball's office this morning a said "thank God for Ted Cruz! Please ask Cornyn to follow Cruz' lead on ALL of the crapola coming at us, daily, from DC". Also said we realize Cornball only veers right at election time.

Damned right, don’t mess with Texas. Glad to see Sen. Cruz stomp all over Emanuel’s BS.

Agreed. It is a pride and ethic thing.

It appears to me that you Texans have discovered a warrior leader. Now you need infantry to back him up.
Go, Texas! Molon Labe.

I have several pieces from Springfield Armory, they are just across the state from Chicago. It would be a shame if they left Geneseo because they employ a lot of the folks there but SA is certainly welcome down here IMHO. Actually, Springfield would just be moving *back* down here. A buddy of mine has an early M1A rifle (3-digit S/N) with a "Devine, TX" rollmark.

All it would take in TX to field 500,000 man army is for Rick Perry to call “help”. I can assure you that the pieces are there to make that happen. And the leadership in TX knows it.
But remember, there is a time and a place for such things. Not quite yet.

GET OUT!
I’ll have to look that up, had no idea.
Hmmmm, Devine TX sounds redundant ;)

Personally, I'd prefer if they were kept north of the Platte, or better still the Missouri. That was kinda my reaction as well, except I was thinking it should be limited to the inside of Rahm's garage.

Not to worry, eventually Cruz will say SOMETHING people here don't agree with and then they will turn on him like they did Perry because he isn't 100% pure.
It's just a matter of time.

“Free Men Need Not Ask Permission!” THAT’s a tagline, if there ever was one. It's also a very good rewording of the precise import of the Ninth Amendment. No bouncing it off Boomer or running it by Ronnie. Just go where you wish and open your business, nobody will demand you justify yourself or produce "credentials".
To: muffaletaman
I am beginning to think Ted Cruz is going to be a helluva upgrade from Kay Bailey... We all knew it in Texas the minute he beat the super-funded, $2000-suit-wearing, execrable RiNO lieutenant governor of Texas, David Dewhurst.
