Gun control advocates say deadly assault weapons have no business being on the streets of America.
But, apparently, those same people who would restrict you of your ability to defend yourself have no objections to fully loaded military gunships flying over American population centers.
That’s exactly what happened in Miami, Florida recently when the U.S. military, in conjunction with local law enforcement agencies, staged an “urban training exercise,” justifying the action as as preparation of our troops for deployment overseas.
If we’re supposedly pulling our military out of Afghanistan and Iraq, which urban environment is it that the military and local police are training for?
Military “exercises” in populated urban environments are now so routine, so commonplace, they are no longer reported by the national media and are left as “human interest” stories for local news stations.
For instance, in Miami last Thursday, units of the military industrial complex staged yet another training exercise.
“Diving Blackhawks, blank rounds of machine gun fire, strafing runs, troops rappelling from choppers, and road blockades,” writes Karen De Coster. “All over the skies of Miami at night, just a few days ago. According to this local TV clown in the video, this event was for the purposes of ‘meeting requirements,’ preparing for overseas military drills, and making sure the equipment is in check.”
In the above video, we hear the staccato of door guns pounding away as “military-style choppers” swooped a couple hundred feet above traffic on I-395 in downtown Miami.

The training is designed to ensure that military personnel are able to operate in urban areas and to focus on preparations for overseas deployment. It also serves as a mandatory training certification requirement.

We are being systematically desensitized to a domestic police state. From being violated by security agents at our nation’s airports, to heavily armed hybrid security teams being deployed in martial red zones around the country, the government is reshaping our perceptions of what ”normal” means.
In this context it’s important to note that Homeland Security secretary Janet Napolitano recently said that we no longer need to worry about Al Queda as a threat to America. Rather, DHS security and intelligence resources are shifting to the domestic front:
“There’s been a lot of evolution over the past three years,” she said. “The thing that’s most noticeable to me is the growth of the lone wolf,” the single attacker who lives in the United States or elsewhere who is not part of a larger global conspiracy or network, she said.
She named no examples, but it’s a phenomenon that is increasingly the focus of international anti-terror operations. As has been previously noted, the US military, including the National Guard, have been training for domestic policing actions for many years, and have been actively war gaming large scale economic collapse and civil unrest scenarios.
Make no mistake. The goal of this live environment exercise is not to stop a terrorist threat from Al Queda or some other rogue foreign element.
It’s to stop you.
We had one of those “training” exercises in Houston this week and now they are “training” in Galveston.
Apparently, the multi-agencies (including Houston’s police department) forgot to tell the Houston mayor, city council and fire department and decided not to “alarm the citizens” by telling them. Citizens were not happy, mayor was not happy, city council, fire department was not happy.
I contacted Senators Cruz and Cornyn, but haven’t heard back yet.

The politicians know what is coming. Hence, they are busy creating a “Diverse” military ready, willing and able to kill their neighbors.

Since 2009, Obama has been using military helicopters to fly over US cities and tanks and other heavy artillery in “training exercises.” These cities include but, are not limited to Boston, Los Angeles, Miami and Boulder. This is a first in our history as a nation. The populations are not warned ahead of time, in order to create the maximum amount of fear of their government. Obama used the helicopters to fly over residents in Worchester, Massachusetts and literally dive-bombed residents homes waking them up at midnight and his latest escalation in Obama’s ongoing war against US citizens was a fly-over and joint military-local police exercise conducted this month in Miami, FL. This time, however, gunfire was added to make it seem more real. The citizenry was not warned ahead of time and many ran for cover. This, my friends, is your government at work...working, that is, to either force you into submission (better give those guns up or else!) or begin the second US Civil War. After all, Obama has now had plenty of practice at doing so – with both his Egypt and Libyan excursions. You didn’t really think those were about democracy did you? They were about installing Obama’s Muslim Brotherhood as the rulers of those countries, while he used their populations to practice on how to affect his total takeover of the USA...for himself and Islam.

Yeah, the military has been contacting the local police departments and asking them to keep the “training” exercises quiet up until the last minute to avoid public panic, which is having the exact opposite effect. These local police chiefs are also not telling their superiors until after the fact, causing all kinds of official scorn at the city halls.

In addition, have you ever wondered how many drones 0bama may be flying over your house to keep an eye on you and to hit you with a Hellfire Missile should you do something he disapproves of?
Add the above to the FAILURE to even NAME or TARGET Muslims as potential terrorists, Janet Napolitano’s memorandum when Obama took over, the abuses of the Homeland Security Department, the gun “control” initiative, and a host of othere abuses from this administration and the intent is pretty obvious from anyone who can add and subtract.
How do you think special forces operators train for inner city ops? Read any of the SEAL Team 6 books and they discuss these sorts of training exercises. Been happening for years...

I seriously doubt that there is any place in Afghanistan that even remotely resembles Miami.
Yeah, these are all related exercises for army special operations. Four things:
1. They are teaming up with local law enforcement and DHS to assist them. While I understand their desire to train in a “more dynamic” environment and this requires coordination with local authorities, why are the local police and DHS included in the training? The only positive effect would be coordinating an action with federal and local civilian LEOs inside the US. I guess that makes sense since JSOC is the only military organization now “exempt” from the Posse Comitatus Act, although I don’t see that exemption in the law (at 18 U.S.C. § 1385).
2. The Army spokesman said, “No civilians will be involved.” NEWSFLASH: DHS and HPD OFFICERS ARE CIVILIANS. This is merely another example of the militarization of the police and the mixing of both police and military functions. If a soldier doesn’t understand the difference, the soldier can very quickly find himself on the wrong side of Posse Comitatus. This is both extremely convenient for “police” actions within the US and extremely dangerous for the peaceful activities of daily life.
2. The Texas Army National Guard includes a special operations unit. They have to get the same certifications. Why coordinate with Houston PD and the DHS and not the Texas Army National Guard? Huh.
3. Every unit in the Army now has an environmental officer. This officer would have to contact so many city agencies to make this happen in a way that met regulatory requirements, the city would have been notified. They weren’t. Either their officers suck or they kept the operation from the general public for a reason.
4. The HPD knew about it, but the mayor didn’t.
If MPs can’t walk off post to assist manning road blocks during a local crisis, why is JSOC running joint training ops with HPD and DHS officers?
I didn’t feel safe last week. Now I am extremely nervous. They could have trained anywhere, but picked Texas.
My wife was driving through that area on her way home from work when that happened. Scare the h*ll out of her.
The thing that scares me is that Miami is a heavily armed city. Some resident is going to get scared by something like this coming at him with no announcement beforehand and is going to start shooting back. (The resident is supposed to know that the sounds he was hearing were blanks?)
This is an extraordinarily stupid thing to do, especially now.
