Fury is brewing at Rocky Mountain High School, in Colorado, after a multicultural student group were encouraged to recite the Pledge of Allegiance over the loudspeaker in Arabic - replacing ´one nation under God´ with ´one nation under Allah´. Following Monday´s pledge, Principal Tom Lopez has been inundated with complaints from outraged parents concerned that saying the Pledge in any language other than English is unpatriotic. Standing by his controversial decision, Principal Lopez has said that despite the irate telephone calls and emails, he is not in any way or form trying to push an

As for Principal Tom Lopez, fire his sorry a$$.
a little at a time. this is how it happens. git over this one and wait for the next
Saw him interviewed. Sounds like a lefty La Raza ass.
Next thing you’ll be seeing is the students bringing out their mats and doing the nose-to-rectal region prayer!
The camel has just put its nose into the tent.
check his green card ... and how much of his education did he pay for ???
‘Heard talker Janet Mefford lambasting this earlier today. If you can’t recite it in English, don’t recite it.
Something about his name tells me he’s gotta be.
They don’t want God unless it’s Allah, which will be a total dictatorial theocracy.
Such is the evil insanity of the left.
Hey SkyDancer:
I’ve got news for you, that wasn’t the camel’s nose that got into the tent. Might look a little like one, but.....
I agree, unless Arabic was just one language in a long rotation of languages into which the Pledge of Allegiance was translated and read and the list wasn't just "politically correct" languages like Arabic and Spanish, but included Hebrew, French, German, Russian, Greek, Latin,. . . or was selected explicitly to represent the native tongues of the ancestors of every student attending the school.
What would have been truly outrageous would have been for the Pledge to have been said in English with the word God replaced by "Allah". When speaking Arabic, Allah, the elision of Al Ilah, is the equivalent of the English God or the Greek ho theos, the definite article in either Greek or Arabic indicating the uniquely existing God, as distinct from a god, the way the capital letter does in English, and is used by Arabic speaking Christians as well as Muslims. To use the Arabic word when speaking in another language is to accept the Muslim conceit that the Arabic word is the proper name of God, and thus to accept the Mohammedan (mis-)conception of God.
I hope some good American makes the lives of those responsible pure hell!
No apologies!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once again, the Brits need to tell us what’s going on in the US, as our own media is so lazy and in the tank for liberals.
As the Persian/Arabic story goes, the camel was cold and just wanted to put its nose in the tent to warm it. Eventually the whole camel winds up in the tent and there’s no room for anyone else. But I’m sure you know the proverb/story. LOL
When they pledge allegiance to United States, that’s exactly what they’re saying,’ Lopez said. ‘They’re just using another language as their vehicle,’ he said.
Well how Friggin special, I got news for Lopez, this is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA not Camelstahn! We speak English here not Arabic. And why is it that everyone gives Christians a load of cr*p in the public schools and scream bloody murder at the mention of God or a Bible, but Allah and the Koran are venerated and used to indoctrinate our children! It is time that the majority take back our schools and demand retards like Lopez be removed from our children.
Principal Tom Lopez should be fired, immediately. If he isn’t fired, I would pull my kids out of that school before the end of the week.
Someone THAT sick should not be involved the the education of our children, period.
Damn traitors are everywhere.
The Pledge is a pledge of allegiance to this country and it’s flag...It is NOT a teaching tool...It is a PROMISE....
When you pledge you are giving your word, your honor, and your total respect to the flag and to this country...
If you don’t want to say it, then don’t....But under no circumstances do you EVER, EVER disrespect this allegiance in any form at all...This “principle” should be fired immediately and an apology be publicly broadcast to all Americans....
Oh, I see I didn’t read closely, and the headline is a lie.
Fire Lopez sorry a$$ as you said: they did not recite the Pledge of Alliegance in Arabic; they did the much worse thing, of accepting the Mohammedan conceit that the Arabic word for God is His proper name. This is indefensible both as an attack on Western Civilization and as a violation of the “ceremonial deism” which SCOTUS has always used to brush aside uber-secularist challenges to the mention of God in the Pledge of Alliegance, on our currency, in various public oaths, . . . as it is accepting a particular conception of the Deity to the exclusion of others.
Lopez yeah I am sure hes not a multicultural sympathizer.
surprised it wasn't under Quatzequatel...
First off: again, only reported by foreign media about something that happened here in the US.
Second, referring to the "question" above: Seriously? It "only" makes sense if the protester is ant-muslim, huh? How closed-minded of him! How about: this is America, and we speak English here, whether you like it or not? How about muslims are pushing their sharia "laws" into our faces and we don't like it? How about showing the descendants of the people who built this nation some respect?
As a two tour Vietnam veteran, I am EXTREMELY insulted by this person who allowed and pressed for this to occur....I am extremely fortunate to live half a country away from this POS or I would be arrested for assault and battery tomorrow....
Very well stated.
But, but...if amnesty gets passed, then the La Raza folks will convert to Republicans. /s
Our local anti-homeschooling ping list should be dancing in their burqas...
Principle Lopez. Quick, everyone ignore reality so we we don’t insult anyone by speaking the truth.
Here's Tomas Lopez's idea of patriotism:
There is no acceptable excuse for making kids say “one nation under Satan”. Diversity does not count as acceptable in this context or in most situations in which it is used to justify stupidity or evil.
The greatest power of the press, is the power to ignore.
The pupils sought the permission of Principal Lopez, who previously had allowed the Pledge to be read out in French and Spanish.
Further, I would add that English-speaking Christians are so used to using "God" as the name of the Judeo-Christian deity that we have largely forgotten that our deity has a name, variously given as Yahweh, Jehovah, the Tetragrammaton YHWH, etc. We so often use "God" as a proper name that we may forget that other religions may have similar constructs.
But overall, in America "Allah" is most often understood as the name of the Muslim deity, not just a descriptor. Consequently, I think this high school principal should be ridden out of town on a rail. Tarred and feathered, if possible.

Everyone in administration and authority who allowed this should be immediately terminated.
You’re damn right I would....This is AMERICA...It’s not black America, white America, red America, brown America....It is AMERICA for ALL....You don’t differentiate...
>> he is not in any way or form trying to push an
Doubtful. Prolly part of the movement attempting to splinter the fabric of the Country.
Like I said earlier...If you don’t want to say the pledge...Give your word, your honor to this country and it’s flag, it’s alright...don’t say it...
BUT...It is NOT your right to CHANGE it!!!!!!!
And every time we do nothing, something more shocking happens. We are being tested and conditioned, and are failing.
Tell ya what: you can have your freedom of speech, and freedom from religion...as soon as I can bear my firearms openly in your school. If we are all about the constitution, lets go all in.
“..... unless Arabic was just one language in a long rotation of languages into which the Pledge of Allegiance was translated and read .....”
WHAT? ENGLISH is the ONLY language that the pledge should EVER be recited in. PERIOD!
“We are being tested and conditioned, and are failing.”
Miserably, I would add.
I wonder what the survivors of the WTC think about this outrage. After all, there were over 3000 people murdered in the name of ALLAH. Actually, that might have been the last word heard by passengers on the four planes. So what do we do? The people in that school district should organize a well attended boycott and not allow their kids to attend classes until the person responsible is fired.
Well there was some odd taffy sort of candy bar and I picked it up to read the label and try to figure out what exactly is in this (allegedly) "Oh So British" candy bar. It had a "dual language label"... much like you see on everything here in the States anymore... the exception was this label was in Arabic or Farsi... I don't know... I put the "candy" back down... it may have been C4 with instructions on how to blow the hinges off a cockpit door for all I know.
Allah Save the Queen.
Hey, kids! Why don’t we say some muzzlem prayers but replace all the “Allahs” with “Our Lord and Savior Jesus?” Wouldn’t that be fun??
Come now. I’m sure my great-grandfather when he first came to this country would have quite happily pledged his allegiance to our flag, and the Republic for which it stands, in his native Norwegian before he could pronounce the English pledge well enough to not be ashamed of his English and even before he was granted citizenship: when he chose to emigrate from Norway for family reasons, he chose to immigrate to the U.S. precisely because of his love for our republican form of government. His doing so would not on any account have been wrong. (Of course when he arrived, the words “under God” had not been included added.)
