Anyone have a GA ping list? Like to know our fellow GA FReepers are okay.

All of you were kind enough to do it for us Sandy Freepers, thought I'd return the favor.

Seems like that storm is heading our way. Cold meets warm....NOT good.

Saw the damage.

Down in Lowndes Co. we had a lot of high winds and then rain a couple hours ago. It looked menacing all day, but was a lot less than we were expecting. I heard there was more activity in the Atlanta area...looked like a pretty hard storm went through there. Anyone else reporting in?

Lawrenceville, Heavy rain and wind gusts that sound like a roar. Started this morning and still raining tonight. Winds still gusting. Most of it is moving on east.

Heres some info on the twister posted by Ken cook fox5’s weatherguy:

The tornado was rated an EF-3-almost an EF-4, with top winds of 160 mph. The path width was up to 400 yards wide, and did incredible damage. It is almost miraculous that there were not more deaths and injuries with this “super” storm.

From the video footage they showed on TV, we could see it was a monster. Learning how wide and strong it was, it really IS a miracle there weren’t more injured or killed. Something to be thankful for out of all the mess.

I hope this isn’t a harbinger of what the year will be like. Enough with the tornados! It took us forever to get the farm cleaned up after we were hit almost two years ago, and it was a smaller tornado. I feel for the folks in Adairsville, having a good idea of what lies ahead the next several weeks or more.
