These prigs set up Al Franken to give the follow up response?

Does anyone have that emotionally driven clap trap rebuttal on tape?

I liked the way Cruz addressed the emotionally driven people with respect and the reasonable clarification that he put down, but it kind of fell apart at the end with technical talk.

Stick to the constitution Ted.
Stick with legal limitations where reasonable.
Point out that Gov “Gun Grabber” Andrew Cuomo dosent “NEED” a 500 hp car to drive 55.

Point out that putting a spoiler on a VW bug does not make it 500 hp.

He did well over all.

Yes, indeed. I have to concur, without reluctance. Senator Cruz took out the trash. A periscope up into reality.

"Sen. Cruz is no Marco Rubio."

Certainly true. Cruz was born in Canada and Rubio to parents who were aliens. Since every US senator agreed, in Senate Res 511, April 2008, that “Because he was born to American citizens, there is no doubt in my mind that Senator McCain is a natural born citizen,” said Leahy. “I expect that this will be a unanimous resolution of the Senate.” It was unanimous. Cruz sounds like a likely supreme court candidate for the new “Constitution Party.” Rubio might help Susana Martinez, who is a natural born citizen, "born on our soil to parents who are its citizens", and who has experience governing her state, with her campaign.

Ted Cruz appears to be the only GOP Senator not proudly wearing a "Kick Me" placard on his back.

However, Words are not Actions, and Actions are not Results. And, timely Results separate the "doers" from the "not so much."

The singular pillar/stance of "Pro-Growth" is quite dated and overly optimistic today.

For example, China will develop it own automotive industry to supply its people. The USA is not the "only game" globally.

The Cassandras were correct on so many fronts; History repeats.

The problem with Rubio is that he is too polite, like Paul Ryan. No one is going to defeat the Left without taking the gloves off.

The problem with Rubio is the left will absolutely destroy him for past indiscretions should he ever get the VP or Presidential nomination of the Republican Party. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/04/22/gop-credit-scandal-threatens-halt-rubios-momentum-primary/

I take it to mean that Marco Rubio is extremely slick and glib. Glib enough to partially snow Rush the other day. Glib enough to be “used car salesman of the century.” Fantastically glib. Wonderfully glib. Totally glib.

His sincerity, however, remains in great doubt, since he has evidently convinced the ‘Rat members of the “gang of 8” that he is only presenting the “enforcement first” provisions of the new amnesty bill to snowjob the conservatives, like Rush.

So, Rubio is either lying to the conservatives, or to his liberal “gang of 8” colleagues.

Either way, he’s lying to somebody.

He works in an arena where glib is perfected. He works where crap is king. He’s becoming a master.

He sure is. I think he believes his ticket to the WH is splitting the baby on amnesty.

“Sen. Cruz is no Marco Rubio.

I’ve sat directly across a table from Ted Cruz listening to him talk four over an hour without notes to a group of about 25 local Republican activists. He’s much more impressive than Rubio.”

I was over a neighbor’s house where I met Ted during his primary fight. This guy is the real, honest-to-goodness red meat spokesman we need to win.

Unabashed conservative who is a fighter.

I can’t tell you how glad I am that Kay Bailey went away and we got Cruz as her replacement.

I could not agree with you more. Cruz has shown more conservative leadership in a few months than we got in all the wasted years we had with KBH.

Can you even begin to imagine Dewhurst doing what Cruz did yesterday?

We are so lucky to have Cruz...

I believe you’re right. The Last Hoorah crowd in the Establishmentis is desperate, seen holding their own britches. Seems they have the talented Rubio on the fast track, trying him out on the stop watch. If he hands off issues pretty good they will turn him over to the media, eventually package him as a “moderate” Jeb Bush consort, but who isn’t Jeb Bush. Wallah!

The machine is picking now. Cruz doesn’t care.

Another thing, Jeff Sessions is pure gold. When he pops up, branches crack, and then he disappears again to wage some other stealth campaign against tyranny. I love Jeff. Pure as the wind driven snow I’m betting.

That doesn’t help either. But any candidate who wants to play nicey-nice and yearns to be seen as ‘reasonable’ will be destroyed. We need a fighter.

Lucky you! Listening to him in this video and another one where he was questioning Hagel was very reassuring. He's right on the money.
