Dems: Your tyranny bad. Our tyranny good.

And yet that feared tyranny never transpired....while Bush was president. The klown who replaced him has made great strides however.

Hear here - good post reminds me of ‘me thinks he doth protest too much’

15 to 20 year ago I faced a similar catharsis re: How does a
christian deal with divorce? Caused me to do a lot of soul-searching, over-analyzing and a never ending personal
battle with hypocrisy.

What I came to realize is:

a. No substitute for the regular [actually daily, hourly,
or better yet minute-by-minute] self examinations for christ-likeness. Very humbling.

b. Taking every thought captive is exhausting work, but much needed if one really needs to overcome habitual sins b/c to quote Barney Fife ‘you have to nip it in the bud’ and almost all sins originate first as thoughts.

c. If a picture is worth a thousand words then good deeds
are worth at least tens times more. Thinking of the quote ‘to be a witness for Jesus at all times and when all else fails use words’ [not quite right but a close paraphrase].

d. The more you fight hypocrisy in oneself the more you will spot it in others, but I can never quite escape the idea that many liberal democrats are either not truly christians or so self-deceived in their theology to be in many cases worse than a non-believer [there’s a scripture for that too, but too little time to go and find].

e. Freud may have human-nature pretty well-defined, but obviously the work of the Holy Spirit is a much better avenue than any high-priced/high-faluting counseling.
