On today's Morning Joe, host Joe Scarborough said that a Senior Fellow at the Independent Women's Forum testifying in favor of assault rifles looked "like a jackass."
Gayle Trotter, who holds undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Virginia and is the co-founder of a D.C. law firm, testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday. She argued that having an assault rifle could help a woman defend herself and her children against intruders. Immediately after playing a clip of her testimony, Scarborough said: "if you go out and try to defend assault weapons, then you end up looking like a jackass." Mika Brezezinski agreed: "I'm sorry, but that's true."

Scarborough should be well familiar with what a jackass looks like. So this constitutes “expert opinion.”

Why is a woman who is NOT an expert on assault weapons testifying in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee in support of them? That would be like having an electrician testify about telemetry circuitry on a Patriot missile. Just because you become an attorney it doesn’t make one an expert on everything (but it sure seems many of them think that way)
She may not be an expert, but I will say there are many people out there that are not gun owners that are standing up for the RKBA. Those people are important too.

That doesn't make them right, but that's their mentality right there.
Why does anyone take what they say as worthy of anything more than a bucket of puss? It's fine to know what your enemy is saying, but come on, who thought these two and their network would EVER say anything in favor of gun ownership?
