Sort of OT, but did anyone see the movie Farmer's Daughter on TCM last night?

It probably wouldn't have bothered me 10 years ago, but now that I'm more aware of the way Hollywood has brainwashed us over the years it actually annoyed me more than entertained.

The heroine, played by Loretta Young, was basically a populist progressive who ends up running for Congress against a guy who has the audacity to oppose minimum wage laws and freebies in public schools. By the end of the movie, the opponent ends up being revealed as a white supremacist.

All I could say at the end of it was "Grrrr . . . "
