A group of conservatives is launching their own social networking site after enduring what they call years of censorship and liberal bullying on Facebook.
The Tea Party Community is expected to officially launch on Saturday – but the social networking site for conservatives has already drawn nearly 50,000 members.

“It’s a new home for conservatives and the Tea Party movement in America,” said co-founder Ken Crow. “It’s a social community just for them.”
Crow partnered with Tim Selaty Sr. and Jr. to launch the new site last November – a “safe haven for the conservative movement where we can share ideas and thoughts and express ourselves without fear of retribution.”
“Most of us are subjected to censorship on Facebook,” Crow told Fox News. “I’ve been suspended there as have many of my friends. You also absorb a lot of abuse from liberals.”
Crow and many other conservatives believe Facebook is intentionally targeting conservatives.
“There’s absolutely no question in my mind,” he said.MORGAN
Jan Morgan Harrison, another prominent Tea Party conservative, said she strongly believes there is a bias against conservatives.
Harrison, who has more than 300,000 followers, said she’s been censored and sanctioned a number of times for her pro-Second Amendment postings. She’s become a vocal supporter of The Tea Party Community.
“I think Facebook needs some competition,” she told Fox News. “I know that when I go there and make a post it won’t be censored. It’s not going to be deleted. It has a long way to go as far as building up followers, but it does give us an alternative.”

I’ve been on Facebook for nearly five years. I post conservative material all the time and I’ve never encountered a problem (knock on wood).
I’ve never experienced push back from Facebook itself. From users and page owners, but not from Facebook.

I post conservative info all the time on FB and have not had an issue. Have been on FB for 5-6 years.
I did go ahead and join the new site and will post info about the TP site on my FB page for friends are who TP members or like minded.

Nothing against the tea partiers but to truely compete with Facebook it needs more of a politically nuetral Synecdoche simple name
Just replace a sentence you see with “Facebook” or “Myspace” in it with the “Tea Party Community” and you will see it doesn’t work.
I post conservative stuff on Facebook all the time. Never got it censored.
My Facebook account was disabled November 6, the minute Ohio was called for Obama. I don’t miss it.

Wow....50,000 members? We have more than that on Free Republic easily. I will stick with Facebook and Free Republic. I also put conservative stories and anti-Obama things on my page and NEVER do I receive any negative feedback. I guess it must be the type of people you are friiends with. If your friends are “bullying” you, why are you friends with them? I stick with friends who share my values which has made my Facebook experience incredible. These off shoots of the main attraction (Facebook) never survive or they become a blip in the main World. 1/3 of the World is on Facebook and you can’t find a group of briends who won’t bully you and have to find a page that has a zero bullying policy? It sounds liberal to me.
Facebook doesn’t miss you either. However, it is weird that you would have a tantrum over Ohio going for Obama and pull Facebook as if that was the reason for the win. Might want to rethink who to blame.....hint....Republicans! Romney!!! Certainly not Facebook!!!!

I’ve not been censored, but many of my liberal friends have unfriended me. No problem. That they cannot tolerate anyone else’s position, or read anything that they don’t agree with says more about their closed-mindedness than anything else could do.
Liberals are totally closed to anyone else’s opinion. They never grew up to learn adult opinions on anything. They are stuck in pre-adolescence and are happy to be there. If their ideas don’t work they know the government will bail them out. What a deal!
Facebook once had 50k members. The Zuck appreciates the continued access to your information and the ability to easily monitor your network of friends and associates.
All the friends I have are on my phone. If I want to see a picture of a family member, my kid can show me. The only thing I miss is Mafia Wars.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking the same thing. I understand the need to clearly state the site is for conservatives and not to be ashamed about it either. My first and immediate impression was hmmm, little strong. Maybe that was their point also. However, this is why I like this site so much. It would not take any person more than a minute to clearly understand this site is almost completely full of conservatives and the few liberal trolls who visit trying to bait people. I want to support the “conservative” effort. We’ll see. Regardless, I hope the site does well.
