That’s one small step for tolerance, but one giant leap for states’ rights. The modified policy would, in effect, kick the can down the road to local sponsors, who could continue the abominable policy of deeming gay teenagers too “immoral” to participate in Boy Scout activities.
There is no similar step forward for atheists. This modified policy would still require local groups to discriminate against atheists, apparently because the Boy Scout Oath implies that an atheist can’t be “morally straight” unless he can do his “duty to God.”
Using this twisted logic, a number of courageous and honest atheists have been kicked out of the Scouts for rejecting all supernatural beliefs. Among them was my friend Darrell Lambert, an Eagle Scout, who had been supported by his entire troop.

Note how male homosexuals have infiltrated every organization having a high population of children. Nambla and B4U-Act claim it is all about love and we do it for the children. Think about those icons of the gay community—Dahmer, Jackson, Gacey, Sandusky and 100s of priests and boy scout leaders caught raping young boys. And what do we do?—we allow them now to come into grade schools, the BSA and preach their lifestyle to children from 1st grade on. Are we really this uncivilized and backward?

Atheists, I believe, are seriously mistaken in their non-belief. However, the key point about an atheist boy is that he doesn’t believe in a deity or any such thing (Buddhists don’t, exactly, either.)

As long as chastity is promoted in the Scouts it shouldn’t be a problem, at least as far as the boys are concerned. None of them are married, none of them are supposed to be having sex. I guess there could be an argument about masturbation, and whether one would consider a boy who regularly masturbates to be sexually impure, but that hasn’t been brought up yet for discussion. The Scout troop my son is in expects absoulte chastity.
The Washington Post offers no reciprocity and yet they would benefit immensely from having some Christians and straight people around the company.

At the time I was a Scout, I didn't know what heterosexual meant much less homosexual. Because nobody needs to know. If you're a homosexual Scout, keep it to yourself. Or get out and form your own org. Nobody's forcing you to be a Scout.
