BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — The tenacious wolverine, a snow-loving carnivore sometimes called the "mountain devil," could soon join the list of species threatened by climate change — a dubious distinction that will put it in the ranks of the polar bear and several other animals that could see their habitats shrink drastically due to warming temperatures.
Federal wildlife officials on Friday will propose Endangered Species Act protections for the wolverine in the lower 48 states, a step twice denied under the Bush administration.

The Wolverines seem to be doing just fine in Basketball this Winter.
If this keeps up, in a few years they’ll have more “wolverines” than they can handle.

Yep, many’s the winter I’ve seen the wolverines out making snow-wolverines in the snow. Laughing and cavorting.....maybe having a snowball fight or two. They love the snow, them wolverines. Oftentimes, they’ll build a snowwolverine and put a cap on it. Usually the cap comes from a skier they’ve eaten.
Throw one AP reporter and a wolverine out in the wild, and very slowly increase the temperature by 3 degrees Celsius (over 100 years, or whatever the current guess is).
Which do you think will be better equipped to survive?
