In a report at the top of Thursday's NBC Nightly News, correspondent Kevin Tibbles fretted that "Despite bylaws that prohibit gun shops within city limits...Chicago appears to be awash in guns." A sentiment that echoed ABC World News anchor Diane Sawyer, who on Wednesday announced to viewers that the whole nation was "awash in guns."
The declaration from Tibbles teed up gun control advocate and UCLA law professor Adam Winkler to claim that problem with Chicago's gun restrictions was that they were not universal: "Chicago certainly has strict gun control laws. But the difficulty is that outlying areas outside of Chicago and in other states, neighboring Illinois, don't have strict gun control laws, and the guns easily flow into Chicago because of that."
Because in fairy world, there are no guns and no one ever gets hurt, ever. This is fairy world, right?
You would think NBC would finally be embarrassed after being caught lying so many times. But no.
Maybe they should ask their president what he knows about guns being walked to gangs in Chicago.

So, let me understand the argument. Chicago’s strict gun laws don’t work for the reason that criminals don’t abide by them, and acquire guns in other places to bring into Chicago. Thus, they knowingly violate the law. Is this the argument?
So, logically, this means that America must be entirely disarmed from sea to shining sea. And then, when guns are smuggled across our borders because the lawful are willing to pay for them, the solution will be what?
How progressive can be so stupid and oblivious to human nature is truly a wonder.
The only real solution will then be a global government which has made illegal the possession of firearms to everyone ... except of course to itself. When that happens everything will be wonderful, right? Right?

I wonder why we are so different than Chicago.
The reason is obvious to me. The folks in my neighborhood are law abiding Americans. They speak the American language. They go to work everyday. And except for the one liberal at the end of the street they do not want any help from government other than building roads, prisons and maintaining a strong military.
The big and obvious question is, “If honest citizens in Chicago had the right to own guns, and use them for self defense, how quickly would it end the killing rampage?”
Seriously, nowhere in the country where there is gun freedom is there anything like the insanity in Chicago. So it raises the question: are people in Chicago defective, or just defenseless?
Their elected leaders assume they are defective. Incapable of having their God-given rights. That they can only be controlled by an armed police, but they are too irresponsible to protect themselves. So it is better that the people of Chicago live in fear as the prey of criminals.
If their own leaders think they are defective, then the rest of us should assume that maybe their leaders are correct, and that there is something about Chicago that makes people behave like animals.

No matter where they come from, if gun availability is the cause of crime, then de facto, crime should be higher where guns are easier to come by.

Ah, it’s nice to have a bit of diversity, isn’t it? You know, embracing other cultures and ways of life, and tolerating them and whatnot. Sure, people can’t buy guns here in Chicago, but they can right across that highway, or over there, or on the other side of the river. Isn’t it just wonderful that we can accept those other jurisdictions as they are without wanting to impose our own morals upon them? I’m getting sick of the liberal Marxists who have been pushing gun control for 30 yrs or more. Perhaps congress should draft and pass a bill criminalizing any action by politicians and govt employees to infringe on our 2nd ammendment .this includes shills at every level (fed,state,county,local). It should be rated a felony with 2-5 yrs in prison. If the swine took an oath to defend our constitution, then perjury should be an additional charge. If their actions resulted in lowering the security of our citizens,then Treason should be considered.
Bingo people, this will also apply at the national level. Create a nationwide ban and only the criminals will have it. There is absolutely no rational reason to believe whatever you ban will not still be available - to those with a disregard for the law.
Yes...you are correct...this explains why no one can get their hands on cocaine because it has been made illegal in all areas of the country ... the same goes for crack, but not for weed because it is still being snuck in from the legal pharmacies in California. Make sense?
