This story was above the fold on the FP today.

Nutmeggers have been besieged by testimony, letters to the editor, yada...you all know, you've heard all them before: *Only cops should have guns*.

Well folks, where is the S&W 9 mm, used in this murder? Hmmmm? We don't have stats, that I could find, on how many confiscated weapons *disappear* from police evidence rooms....and *possibly* find their way into murders, suicides, etc.

This report is a classic.

Was the weapon available when the trial was held?

If so, case closed, as far as I’m concerned.

I don’t think this has much of a chance. The lawyer has no affirmative evidence that his trial or conviction was unfair or wrong, just speculation.
