Black Agenda Summit at Howard: Obama “Does Not Deserve a Pass Anymore”
Politic365 ^ | 2/01/13 | Lauren Victoria Burke

Posted on 02/03/2013 7:31:40 AM PST by Libloather

On the first day of Black history month, policy experts analyzed the current economic state of Black Americans during a summit at Howard University. One featured participant said President Obama, “does not deserve a pass anymore” regarding confronting Black issues head on and asked that the President “summon his courage” and “find his voice” on economic inequality in America.

**SNIP**

There has been discussion on what some refer to as a “cone of silence” over the Obama presidency regarding issues dealing with race and racial disparities in America. The Washington Monthly magazine featured Obama and race on their front cover in January.

**SNIP**

“I think that the concept of the ‘change we have been waiting for’ refers to what was most likely to happen in the second term. Things like Occupy Wall Street are indications that unless there is a mobilization outside of the Black community the possibility of getting the change we’ve been waiting for is limited,” Morris, who teaches a course in Black politics, added.

Uh oh. Anytime we hear the terms “racial disparities,” it only means one thing. Whitey has too much money and we deserve to take some of it.

Tsk, tsk....whatever happened to the Freeloaders United’s love-fest with our First Post-Racial President?

Sounds like they loved LBJ’s reign of Socialism better than Obama’s. They must not know that the money has run out after shoveling about 8 trillion dollars into our ghetto sinkholes with their corrupt Democrat pols in charge. In the War on Poverty, Poverty won.

It is too effing late to come to this revelation. They have given this traitor the conductorship of the train to America’s oblivion. It’s just a matter of time now.

Let him not only find his voice but summon his courage and use his political capital to address racial inequality. He owes that to the African American community,” he said.

**

He “owes” this to the AA community?? Just the African Americans? What does he owe to the non-African Americans? Is he the president of the entire country, or just the African American part of it? What exactly do they feel they deserve in return for their votes?

Dont’ work that way, my friends. Maybe next time you should vote for what’s best for ALL Americans ...

Wonder if anyone at that summit will ask a few questions. Why do Liberals always situate abortion clinics in minority neighborhoods? Why do Liberals herd minority students into union controlled horrendous public schools while they “choose” good private schools for themselves?

Maybe if the so called “black leaders” would encourage these needy blacks to find A moral compass they would become A part of our country. But we all know that the race baiters will not encourage them until they can make more profit doing so.
And the cities are too far gone for things to change.

Racial disparities!?

So-called African-Americans are getting away with murder....literally. And (NA-effin-ACP) it's way past high time you bastards did something about it.

Wasn’t it Jackson or Sharpton that told them in 2008 that he wasn’t authentic?

Wait until they start getting the bills/tax-increases for Obamacare.

Trouble is, though, if the election were held today, they would still vote for him.

“summon his courage” and “find his voice” on economic inequality in America

He will never have the courage to say: "Get an education, get a job, get and stay married, speak English, take responsibility for your own actions..."

...and if he did the race baiting poverty pimps would abandon him in a nano-second.

“Maybe if the so called “black leaders” would encourage these needy blacks to find a moral compass they would become A part of our country”

The first problem is that there are few, if any “black leaders.” They are all simply high-class pimps for the “Free $hit Society.” The black moral compass is stuck on profligate procreation as a “life’s work.” Earl Butz was absolutely right!

It may take longer than a nanosecond, but as you can see by this article, it’s starting to happen. Blacks thought Obama was their first-class ticket on the gravy train. They were wrong!

Why do folks continue to suggest Obama is ignorant of the effects of his policies?

Obama’s plan has always been the destruction of America, due to his anti-colonial beliefs.

That means he believes America achieved it’s success and it’s wealth at the expense of the third world, and then used that wealth and influence to oppress the rest of the world.

THAT is the “fundamental change” he speaks of!

Crushing America’s productivity, energy consumption, freedom, access to meaningful healthcare....

People are simply afraid to assign malice as his motive, out of fear of being declared racist or alarmist.

The facts are there for all to see.

I think this is just smokescreen and cover for Baraq.

They’ve got more EIC, EBT, TANF, Section 8, Obamphones, subsidized cable, Medicaid, etc than ever and they’re thrilled.

Why, oh why, won’t intelligent and reasoning black Americans learn their folly in continuing to support Democrats? It’s so damned sad. I guess comfortable lies are just easier than uncomfortable truths (like admitting I’ve been very wrong about something for a long time).

So the only reason he doesn’t get a pass is because the bag of gifts that Santa brings is too small.

This is not an indictment of Obama, but a pep talk to distribute even more.

The tide is not yet ready to turn, because there is still some sinew on the carcass to be eaten.

“Interesting comments after the end of the article.”

I’ve noticed that about most internet “news” stories. The so called professionals who are paid to write can barely utter a coherent sentence, while many of the commentators are brilliant yet don’t receive a penny.

"...the possibility of getting the change we’ve been waiting for is limited,” Morris, who teaches a course in Black politics,..."

The problem's right here. "waiting for change", waiting for other people to come in and change your situation. Make your own change, dammit. That's the only way you will improver your situation.

Our Constitutional Republic was a grand idea;
a noble and fragile experiment
in Life, Liberty & The Pursuit of Happiness.
We are now too far down
Marxism-socialism’s “free stuff” slope,
to stop the descent into madness and collapse.
It’s not the fall that will kill us;
it’s the sudden stop at the bottom.

America - a great idea while it lasted.

Hey, he is doing his level best to drive non-black incomes and standards of living down to the level of blacks.

What, you mean you wanted your standards of living raised?

“Hey, he is doing his level best to drive non-black incomes and standards of living down to the level of blacks.”

Blacks’ standard of living is falling even further; what a marginalized group. Until they are held to the same standards as whites in terms of education and job performance, they will always have a child-like dependence on the government to feed, clothe, and house them. The schooling doesn’t even merit mention; the resistance to merit-based pay and vouchers harkens back to a time when it was illegal to teach a slave to read or write (and has achieved the same result).

No surprise that he would initially GET a free pass from Black racists due exclusively to the color of his skin.

We hear a great deal in the popular media about White racism; it’s little reported, however, that Black racism is even more pervasive and far more intense.
