Rove Declares War on Tea Party
Big Government ^ | February 3, 2013 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 02/03/2013 10:29:18 AM PST by Bratch

The battle for the heart and soul of the Republican Party has begun. On one side is the Tea Party. On the other side stands Karl Rove and his establishment team, posing as tacticians while quietly undermining conservatism.

Yesterday, the New York Times reported that the “biggest donors in the Republican Party” have joined forces with Karl Rove and Steven J. Law, president of American Crossroads, to create the Conservative Victory Project. The Times reports that this new group will dedicate itself to “recruit seasoned candidates and protect Senate incumbents from challenges by far-right conservatives and Tea Party enthusiasts who Republican leaders worry could complicate the party’s effort to win control of the Senate.” The group points to candidates like Christine O’Donnell in Delaware and Richard Mourdock in Indiana as examples of Tea Party primary picks going sideways in major Senatorial battles.

Need another reason to abandon the Whigs on their headlong plunge into obscurity? There is no recapturing the party from within; it is too far gone.

I agree. From now on, any so-called conservative publications or websites that give Rove a platform should be discredited. This man is trying to pull a classic ‘post-Thatcher leftward shift’ on the American conservative movement. We will NOT move an inch to the left, Rove. Stick it. We’re going to annihilate the RINOS come 2014, and we don’t care how much you spend, the voters know the consequences of electing moderates against DemoRats. Beside, you had better focus on the senators you already have, because we’re coming after them too. Buy Lindsey Graham a lifeboat.

What we are seeing in America now is what happens when a minority attempts to take over a majority. On two scales, no less -- on a national scale with the presidency, and an inner-party scale in the GOP. Minorities hijaking majorities.

Time for a third party. Sorry, sad, but true. On the bright side, timing is ripe among average Americans for an alternative to equally loathed Democrat and Republican parties in the general perception.

There must be some fights, however, some battles, which the squeamish roll-over Republicans have already surrendered, among the most primary: Elections must become honest, ID required, monitored for fraud. That's where it must start. The battles will start there, must start there, and will take the most courage.

I do trust, as so many of the Hudson Brigade (despairing and defeatist "conservatives" who come here wailing "Game over, man! Game over!") do not, that on balance, the majority of Americans are morally good. These are the Americans who make this country work. Their votes are the most authentic -- the producers, the regular joes, the legitimate and legal citizens, the ones who feed themselves outside of food stamps and government largess (yes, folks on "welfare" should, in the cause of justice, be denied the vote, and there should be a law stating it, as it's a case of the wolf voting in more sheep when wholesale gov't dependents have equal franchise ... this is a hard, uphill battle the Hudson Brigaders are too panicked and defeatist to fight) ...

... read the words of those elsehwere than FR and perceive the dangerous illusion that pop culture and the MSM have projected of themselves in place of "Americans." Get a grip on the truth that patiently incremental decades-long organized vote fraud on the left, vote manipulation, and deliberate vote ginning among people who'd never bother voting otherwise, have placed a liberal minority in position to exercise government tyranny over the majority. America didn't "vote for this" -- "this" cheated to get where it is. For our own good, of course, in a leftist world where morality itself is relative, hence voting twice is morally justified. *rolls eyes*

The dangerous illusion has each side perceiving itself as the opposite in number that it actually is. Not only do "conservatives" (lack of better term, perhaps Tea Partiers) perceive themselves as smaller in number because they have less elected representation, but leftists and liberals perceive themselves as bigger because of falslely elected liberalism and government tyranny. That illusion smashed will reveal a nation dominated by people who would vote to cut government and restore the freedoms to be self-dependent, whether individually or state-wide or nationally. The only reason everything we buy is "made in China" and gas costs have doubled, is because government tyranny has made it illegal for Americans to produce those things themselves.

Down deep, most Americans know this. We Americans are a good, moral people. The only way we take this nation back is when we take up that standard. LOSERS by definintion regard their fellow Americans with contempt. I see a lot of Republicans who are stone-cold losers.

Pray for America.

Mr. Rove is doing a bit of “revisionist history” on the 2012 Senate races. He’ll focus on Akin (who was funded in the primaries by some of McCaskill’s Democrat donors) and Mourdock (which had crybaby Lugar badmouthing him and telling his groups NOT to vote for Mourdock in the general) but he surprisingly won’t tell you about the other races that were won or lost.

Let me give you folks the the 411 on the stupidity of the GOP (2010/2012 Senate races)

2010

O’Donnell: According to party affiliation and exit polls, there was no way a Republican was gonna win Delaware 2010. Even Castle had no shot. Castle can bitch and cry all he wants but you got to win the primary first (details, details).

Angle: Harry Reid owns the state’s political machines, the funding and his seniority (or is it senility). GOP had no shot.

2012

Lugar: after his primary defeat, went into the background and trash-talked Mourdock at every opportunity with local Indiana GOP groups. If Indiana didn’t have “sore loser” law, that jerk would of run as a third candidate.

ND: Berg: Simply saying “I’m the GOP candidate, vote for me” isn’t enough against an inspired (and highly organized/motivated DNC candidate). Berg lost by less than 3,000 votes. Berg’s campaign was described by local insiders as sloppy, undisciplined, and reeking of GOPe (aka: taking the base for granted). This race was begging for an upset and the DNC brought in the big guns/money to pull it off. Heitkamp struck with perfect timing at the end to squeeze out a few thousand votes at the end.

Akin: foot in mouth? yes....but you did know he was propped up by Mccaskill’s cronies in the primary by the tune of over one million dollars. Why? He was the weakest of the three GOP candidates.

ME: GOP in disarray and against a popular former governor.

MA: Brown flipped the bird to the TP, went all RINO and was up against a powerful candidate. Burned bridges. GOPe

VA: George Allen, three time loser, mr. “ma-ca-ca”, uninspired campaigner, slow, methodical, dull. GOPe.

FL: Connie Mack, three-time-loser, uninspired race. GOPe. “lost in space”

OH: Josh Mandel. Deer in the headlights against the hunter. In the big leagues Josh, they play for keeps NOT for Chuck-E-Cheese tokens. OUT OF HIS LEAGUE.

MT: Three way race and the Libertarian candidate spoils the show Tester 236,123-—Rehberg 218,051-—Cox 31,892. DNC plowed a lot of money for their favorite goon Tester. GOPe

WI: Tommy Thomson. Uninspired campaign. Thought that by simply announcing he would win by default. Believed his past terms as governor was all the PR he ever needed. Burned a lot of bridges in the primary. GOPe

HI: Lingle......Liberal RINO, LOST

CT: McMahon....Liberal RINO, LOST

NE Deb Fischer, CONSERVATIVE....Endorsed by Palin and a great ground game. Defeated the GOPe back candidate in the primary. WINNER

AZ Jeff Flake, CONSERVATIVE....Endorsed by Palin and a great ground game. Did not run away from conservatism. WINNER

TX Ted Cruz, CONSERVATIVE....Endorsed by Palin and a great ground game. Defeated the GOPe candidate in the primary. WINNER

The Senate was ripe for the picking for the GOP. If the candidates played it smart, practiced “Media 101” skills (may I suggest the Breitbart school of journalism) and just learned to avoid the traps (Akin, Mourdock), we could of picked up 4-7 seats.

I don’t know if 2014 will get us to 50+ and it might take a few cycles to get the Senate back....but only if the GOP learns its lessons and stops pointing its fingers at the base. Future conservative/TP candidates will have to realize that it’s a BLOOD SPORT. Mistakes that might of been survivable in the bush-leagues are game killers in the big leagues.

It’s not just about politics for Rove, IT’S ABOUT THE MONNEY. His little scam on advising candidates and ad buys gives him a nice commission.

It’s a nice little racket which would make Al Capone envious.

They don’t realize that the two party system requires two OPPOSING parties, now “big government” and “big government lite” parties. And the small government conservatives are excluded from both parties.

ANY ‘big’ donors who give anything but the finger to rove and his band of charlatans does not want to win anything but the status quo.
If it’s war they want, frikkin’ all out war is what we should give them.
Starting last November!
Who ARE these ‘big donors’? Find them and make sure that you don’t spend one penny more on anything they own or run. Boycott the bucks. Don’t bank at their banks. Sell off their stocks. Don’t stay at their hotels. Don’t give them anything but grief.

And, GOOD!

Just remember, KARL - Republicans WERE a Third Party once-upon-a-time. People weren’t buying what The Whigs were selling. STILL AREN’T!

Get a clue.

The time to launch a new party is NOW ... long before the 2014 midterms. This needs to be combined with a rock-solid “true the vote” effort, so they can’t steal another election.

What we need is a high-profile conservative (Cruz? Sarah?) willing to step up and endure the abuse for daring to live, act and think like a conservative.

More than a few Congresscritters will jump on the bandwagon. A handful of big victories in the midterms will erase the “third party” stigma and clear the way for an honest victory, whether in 2016 or looking ahead to 2020.

Why does anyone listen to this loser?

His advice to GWB is what began the destruction of the Republican party and also which brought us President Barry Hussein Soetoro who was not born of US Citizen parents, and who uses an FALSE Social Security number. His service to Bush - “don't respond to your detractors” missed a huge opportunity for the leader of the GOP to use the bully pulpit to put down all the crap that was thrown against GWB and his party.

Now the GOP is wondering in the wilderness convinced by the wizards of smart on K street they have to grant amnesty to 30+ newly minted undocumented Dems in order to play on the RAT playing field. I want to puke - changed my registration to Ind in 2006 after the “San Francisco Values” crowd was installed in the House (because of GWB not fighting back).

From the Politico:

Both the Club for Growth and the Senate Conservatives Fund – two of the most prominent groups that have boosted candidates on the right – mocked the new initiative as yet another hapless establishment-side attempt to  muzzle the GOP base.

Matt Hoskins, executive director of the Senate Conservatives Fund, branded it  the “Conservative Defeat Project.”

“The Conservative Defeat Project is yet another example of the Republican  establishment’s hostility toward its conservative base. Rather than listening to  the grassroots and working to advance their principles, the establishment has  chosen to declare war on the party’s most loyal supporters,” Hoskins said. “If  they keep this up, the party will remain in the wilderness for decades to  come.”

Club for Growth spokesman Barney Keller essentially responded by pointing to  the scoreboard in recent primaries in which conservative insurgents have  prevailed and emerged as influential GOP leaders.

“They are welcome to support the likes of Arlen Specter, Charlie Crist and  David Dewhurst,” Keller said of the new Crossroads group. “We will continue to proudly support the likes of Pat Toomey, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.”

On one side, we have Democrats and Republicans. On the other side, opposing their goals of socialism, communism, disarmament and domestic tyranny, are American citizens and the Tea Party.

Well said.

There were some of us who left out the “magnificent” and were castigated.

[Remember] that Americans want freedom, prosperity, and a low-cost government—that is not different no matter who you vote for. A party that advocates those things will be a comfortable fit with the points of view of the vast majority of Americans.

Amen.

This morning Ralph Reed was on one of the Sunday shows, pushing amnesty.

I'm very surprised to see Ralph Reed of the Christian Coalition running with these concern trolls.

Back in 2000 (1999 actually, I guess), Karl Rove recruited Ken Lay and his criminal Enron enterprise to sideline Reed with a political consulting contract that tied down Reed during the 2000 primary season. He wanted Reed out of the way while he steered Dubya and the Bush faction into the White House with Log Cabin support. Rove was lecturing the Christian conservatives at the 2000 convention over their box lunches while Dubya and Mary Matalin were across town wining and dining with the Loggies and telling them that sure, they were all for "gay marriage" --- any opposition, Matalin told the gays, was "so unfair!"

So why is Reed running with these trolls now on immigration/Blowing Up Old America?
