Mayor Booker: 'Legal Gun Buyers Aren't Causing Murders in Newark and Chicago and Other Places'

Newark Mayor Cory Booker made a statement on HBO's Real Time Friday that should please gun rights advocates across the fruited plain.

Despite being for stronger gun laws, Booker said, "Legal gun buyers are not causing murders in Newark and Chicago and other places"

… CORY BOOKER, NEWARK MAYOR (D-N.J.): To me, the data should drive our decision making. So I know, I’m not afraid of people having guns who are law abiding citizens.

In the analysis of gun murders and shootings in my city, I could only find one in the entire time I’ve been mayor...The guns that are causing carnage in our cities, my city and our country, every single year are acquired illegally.

… that don’t make the headlines… data shows that no legal gun buyer in Newark has been responsible for any of the shootings. If I tell you that right now, legal gun buyers are not causing murders in Newark and Chicago and other places.

My bottom line for any legislation.

Assault Weapon Ban - leave it up to the states, with the two feature rule (not Feinstein’s one feature rule) being the minimum any state can regulate.

Magazine Size - leave it up to the states, with for
long guns - no more than 30, no less than 10
hand guns - no more than 20, no less than 10
rimfire -no limit on than high end, no
less than 10

Background Checks - For every purchase, except family members. To been done by any FFL or police department. Fees to be paid for by the government, not seller or purchaser. Let the whole population pay for it, not just gun owners.

This law would have to be at least unchangeable for the next 30 years, to prevent any continuing chipping away.

If Corey Booker said that, it means the gun control debate is officially over.

Next up, sequestration.

A black man speaks the truth and no one listens.

This is the guy who was accused of not being "black enough" during his first mayoral campaign a while back. The plantation really is a state of mind, isn't it? The Democratic machine can't handle a black man who was born and raised in a wealthy New Jersey suburb by parents who were both IBM executives.

Interestingly, I suspect Booker and Chris Christie have been helping each other orchestrate their political careers. Booker agreed not to run against Christie in 2013, and Christie will support Booker against that old fossil Lautenberg in 2014.

“The law should be that if you possess a weapon during the commission of a felony crime, you get life (no parole) in prison at hard labor.”

The problem with that is that we are all felons multiple times over now. You cannot help but commit felonies, mostly white collar federal ones, every day.

I have talked to several doctors. They all say the laws are now structured so that you cannot practice medicine without committing felonies.

The only question is: Do they want to get YOU for some reason or another.

I understand completely that the current ruling class is determined to felony criminalize as many people as possible to disarm, disenfranchise, impoverish, & eventually, enslave them. The idea is to pass so many complex laws that no citizen can avoid violating them, while exempting yourself & friends from such laws, as the Congress regularly does, & applying those laws selectively against their opposition.

My sentencing rules for weapons carrying felons are suggestions for the Second Republic, after the first one is dissolved through revolution. I would never expect our present ruling class to pass common sense laws that would actually suppress violent crime, a primary tool used by the them to further enslave the people with more control in the name of public safety.

“I think Corey Booker is not a typical dem but he can’t be honest about it.”

Corey Booker is a typical dem in a bankrupt state, county, and city; that lack of funds is the only thing that makes him any different from other dems. Rather than continue chasing out taxpayers, and businesses, he has to beg them to stay and he knows it.

Socially he is to the left of Obama; even the Kenyan Pirate realized homosexuality violates the Koran.
