The anti-family movement is pressuring the Boy Scouts to surrender. To give up their honor. To accept unnatural behavior -- sin -- and abandon their morally sound membership policy which bars open homosexuals from holding leadership positions.
According to a recent statement by Deron Smith, director of Boy Scouts public relations, “... the BSA is discussing potentially removing the national membership restriction regarding sexual orientation. This would mean there would no longer be any national policy regarding sexual orientation..."
The proposed policy shift would place the moral welfare of 2.7 million boys involved in the institution at risk.
Top leaders of the Boy Scouts will meet on Wednesday to make a final decision -- to surrender on principles or stand strong.

Yup, they do this and I pull my son and my money and my time. Period. I went to our regional office in Golden Valley MN and told them so in person.
The church our group uses for meetings has already told us if the national group does this we are no longer welcome in their building.
I suspect many churches will do the same.
What a sad time. I fully expect the cowardly morons on the BSA board to vote to implement this new unworkable policy. I don’t think they will care one little bit about all of our calls, emails and everything else. Shortly thereafter we will see the Mormons, Catholics and Southern Baptists drop all of their troops. That represents about a million boys out of something like 2.7 million. Another fine American institution ruined.
I think a lot of the camps used by the Boy Scouts are owned by churches. I know my church owns a number of them. The BSA will lose access to at least some of these facilities as well.

Pretty obviously, the gays intended to destroy the Scouts as an effective organization. What’s next? Football?
I expect out church to have a problem as well. I will fight this any way I can. I will look for a local gun club / NRA group to sponsor us. And advertise as the non gay / non atheist troop.

The Boy Scout's time has passed. Most of the camps I went to as a kid are now sold off and developed. The best parts of Indian Lore are trashed. No one wants to be a rugged individualist and to "Be Prepared".
