This is the media and/or GOPe pushing their favorite(s).

Rubio’s amnesty pushing is going to lose him much support. Many don’t want a McCain-lite.

Rubio’s resume is about as thin as Obama’s was. Rubio started his political career at about age 28 and has become a professional politician.

Rubio’s thinking that the borders will be secured by his/the next amnesty bill is delusional. Even if his fellow politicians SAY they will see that the border is secured, in reality, that securing will be about as much/little as with previous amnesty bills. If Rubio were truly seeking border security, that would be done with EXISTING laws.

Besides, granting citizenship to 11-12 mln (some estimate it at 18 mln) will perpetuate the democrats rule. We wil have a one party system for decades to come.

The out of wedlocl birthrate for Hispanics is 50%. For blacks it is 71%. They are both solid Dem constituencies.

Marco Rubio was born is Miami, Florida. His parents were here LEGALLY and are US citizens.

When challenged, Is the Supreme Court going to rule that he is not eligible under Article II, Section 1 of the US Constitution?

>>Now, consider Marco Rubio. His parents were resident aliens when he was born in 1971, seeking and soon to receive their status as naturalized U.S. citizens. Under the Fourteenth Amendment, “all persons born...in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the states wherein they reside.” This “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” clause shows why Rubio is — and, very likely, why children of illegal aliens are not — a “natural born citizen of the United States.”<<

So tired of this. There is no “Latino vote”. They are not an undifferentiated mass like Blacks. They come from different countries, different cultures, and are in different economic brackets.
And p.s. they do have one thing in common - they all hate Cubans.

That depends on the details. If amnesty goes through it may be as forgotten by election time as Reagan’s signing the 1986 amnesty has been. If it doesn’t, Rubio can distance himself from the measure, saying that he was for greater enforcement first and he won’t support amnesty unless the border is secure. There may be as many stay-at-home conservatives as there were this time, but if Rubio can pick up enough other votes to make up for them, then conceivably he could win.

He alone would [whatever] ...

BS.

I'm tired of 'moderate' leftists, presstitutes, and other would-be kingmakers prattling that "only" their chosen hero can save us.

When the MSM gives any praise toward Rubio it is because they are choosing him over Ted Cruz who they really fear.

RE: Rubio’s resume is about as thin as Obama’s was

He was SPEAKER of the Florida House for 4 years and by 2016, will be senator for 6 years. Is that a thin resume?

Other than your not liking his immigration policy, what other issues do you disagree with him? (e.g., debt, budget, military, defense, healthcare, abortion, gay marriage, energy, government regulation, education, etc.?)

Does someone have to be 100% aligned with you thinking in order for you to consider voting for him over the Democrat?

Agree, but an amnesty will just hasten the process. We are bringing in 1.2 million LEGAL immigrants a year. They will vote Dem two to one. Our electorate has been changed dramatically by immigration since the 1965 Immigration Act.

Since the 1965 Immigration Act, our pro-population growth immigration policies have fueled major demographic changes in a very short period of time. In 1970, non-Hispanic whites comprised 89 percent of the population; today they are 66 percent; and by 2042, they will be 50 percent. The Democrats, under the banner of multiculturalism and diversity, have forged a political coalition that depends on individuals coalescing around racial and ethnic identities rather than the issues. The continuing and increasing flow of minority immigrants, mostly poor and uneducated, provides a natural constituency for the Democrats, which see them as their principal source of political power.

87 percent of the 1.2 million legal immigrants entering annually are minorities as defined by the U.S. Government and almost all of the illegal aliens are minorities. By 2019 half of the children 18 and under in the U.S. will be classified as minorities and by 2042, half of the residents of this country will be minorities. Generally, immigrants and minorities vote predominantly for the Democrat Party. Hence, Democrats view immigration as a never-ending source of voters that will make them the permanent majority party.

Depends on whether you want a professional bloviator (like the one currently there) or a professional executive.

I agree that Rubio makes great speeches. Speechifying is not executive experience.

Rubio isn’t Hispanic. He’s a white Cuban who speaks Spanish. The mixed blood Mexicans - the biggest ethnic group of Latin Americans in the US will never vote for him.

I think his parents were not citizens when Rubio was born. That does matter whether or not anyone cares anymore.

That depends on the details.

There are many details out there that affect how any given voter decides to vote. And, no, there is no way for Rubio to come out of his amnesty pushing without permanently losing the vote of some conservatives.

By pushing amnesty with the likes of McCain, Graham and the Dims in the Gang of 8, he has alienated some conservatives and he won't win their vote in the future, especially if this latest amnesty scheme becomes law.

And no one who pushes amnesty can claim to be a fiscal conservative, so he loses on that issue, also.
