I do not believe that is where the nation is. Our nation is right of center.
There is evidence of your point in the 2012 election, Rove and the Romney wing of the GOP seem to have failed by not reaching the right of center character of the nation, and instead spitting in the face of it, rejecting it.
A different candidate, with different politics, would have destroyed Obama.
Strategerist, this is the poster that you needed to respond to, it was his post.
Unfortunately, the moochers, looters and inner city tribal parasites outnumber the producers in this country. When the criminal invaders become citizens thru amnesty, they will all vote dim and there will never be another Republican POTUS. You cannot beat Santa Claus.
In a strictly idealogical or even moral sense, I agree. Of course that still doesn't really answer the question of why so many African American Democrats who are one of the most devout demographics in the country vote for abortionist, gay promoting, terrorist apologists every single time. I still haven't quite got that one noodled out yet. But economically, fiscally speaking we have become of the far left. This last time, folks voted their wallets not because they thought they were going to get significantly more themselves, but because they were utterly certain that the fat cat Republican nominee was going to line his own wallet and the wallets of his rich buddies at the people's expense. Welcome to public education. Students are no longer taught fiscal responsibility in school. So too, is the US Constitution much overlooked especially the Second Amendment (big surprise, huh?). If these subjects are covered you can bet it's a revisionist version. I know, this is my 24th year in the classroom as a social studies teacher. My students get the real deal and always have but it's shoveling against the tide. I am SO looking forward to retiring in 6 or 7 years.
