GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - They say they came home and found a burglar inside.
But a central Kentucky couple turned the tables on the intruder, and police say the husband shot him.
It happened late Monday afternoon on Jennings Road in Garrard County.
Police arrested the suspect nearby, and neighbors tell us that they're relieved he's in custody.
The burglar was shot but able to get away but police soon caught up with him.
"You gotta protect your home," said Carl Jennings, who owns property on the road.
State police say David Baker and his wife did just that when they came home to an unwanted visitor inside their house.

He picked the wrong time and the wrong house that time.
I live in one of THE most anti-gun states in the US — California!! I told DH if anyone breaks into the house, let ME get the gun (I handle the .357 and Mossberg just fine). The only decision would be whether to grab the long gun or not. Anyone breaking into my home and violating my loved ones’ private property will not leave alive if I can help it. They mean no good and I intend to put a stop to it with deadly force.
I do not have a gated estate protected by armed guards like Sen. Feinstein.
Who would dare prosecute a mother trying to protect her children and pets??
But, this IS California so when it comes to guns and crime, all bets are off...
