The world is busy raving about first lady Michelle Obama's fringe but Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld begs to differ. After taking digs at Pippa Middleton, Adele, Heidi Klum and Russian men, next in line is the first lady.
"I don't understand the change of hair ... Frankly, the fringe was a bad idea. It's not good," quoted the designer. Lagerfeld went on to say that Obama now looks like a news anchor.
The criticism comes as a surprise as Lagerfeld had once admitted that he adores Obama. He had even called the first lady's face "magical" while talking to Metro World News in 2012.
Lagerfeld might be one of the top designers in the industry but how does it matter if he likes the first lady's bangs or not? After all it got the President's seal of approval. Calling it one of the most important events of the inaugural ceremony weekend, the President seems to adore the new hairstyle.
And it's not just husband Obama who loves her haircut. Vogue magazine must have been equally pleased with her style as the 49-year-old will most likely be seen fronting a second cover for the fashion bible. Washingtonian saw the magazine's crew lugging around cameras at the White House, Jan. 31. CBS news reporter and White House correspondent Mark Knoller too witnessed the magazine's crew at the President's home and tweeted, "Today at the WH. No public events on the president's schedule today, though Vogue is bringing camera gear into the WH this morning."
Lagerfeld had earlier taken digs at Adele calling her "too fat." The 79-year-old designer has called Heidi Klum as an insignificant part of the fashion world and even said that Pippa Middleton "should only show her back" as he doesn't like her face.

Very odd (I had to look up Adele and Pippa to see who he was talking about, but he's shockingly wrong). Adele is very heavy for a model and just a bit heavier than the average woman, but she's still rather attractive. Pippa is beautiful, and her face is much prettier than the average model's even before considering the typical model's bored/drugged look of indifference. As for Heidi Klum, she's one of the prettiest models I've ever met, or even seen. I don't know where Klum stands now in the "fashion world", but she looks fabulous.
As for Michelle Obama, I'm not in any way a fan. I don't like Michelle's busybody intrusion into school menus - a First Lady (if she's a lady) should encourage good actions not demand obedience to orders - but I don't have any reaction whatsoever to the bangs. I think this nutcase is just trying to get a reaction by saying things that he hopes will be controversial. Now that I've reacted, I'll forget who he is (and I have already forgotten his name).
It's probably the same wig Uma wore in the film.

Didn’t you all get a look at her hair she exposed on one of her Hawaiian vacations?
She does NOT have the coveted ‘good hair’.
It was broken off all along the hairline and what hair she had was pulled back in a short Olive Oly do- a nubbin sticking straight out on the back of her head.
There’s NO WAY this could ever be converted into the lush, shiney straight hair she sports today.
It’s a wig or weave/extentions.
She and the Obama butt kissers are lying about it.

BINGO! I am quite sure her BFF (Beyoncé) has loaned MS Obama her personal wig maker. Beyoncé is NEVER seen in public without a wig atop her noggin. She does hair commercial on TV “wearing” wigs...LOL. Beyoncé is a total phony, IMO.
BTW, I think Obama is going for the Cleopatra look.
